Latest in Beauty - February 2020 Picks

Image
February 2020 - The Beauty Crush Edit The star product in February is the Mac Matte Lipstick in Chili, which is a gorgeous bold Chilli red colour and one that I definitely wanted to try out. This month I opted for six products and also received a free makeup brush and some Mac lipstick samples. How it works:   The 'Beauty Novice' is £9.00 for 3 items. The 'Beauty Enthusiast' Box is £15.00 for 6 items The 'Beauty Guru' Box is £18.00 for 9 items. All box prices are inclusive of P+P. Buy HERE 1. Mac Matte Lipstick in Chili This is a full sized lipstick (3g) in Mac's iconic bullet packaging. The colour is a lovely spicy, brown-red and should suit most skin tones. 2. Oryza Beauty - Velvet Ribbon Lipstick in Japonica I also picked up another full size lipstick from Oryza Beauty, whose name rings a bell but have never tried this brand before. It's a lovely everyday nude colour - very creamy and moisturising. I feel like th...

July 2019 Monthly Favourites

Image
July has been a month for discovery - mostly in mini form as there have been some impossible-to-miss 'try it' sample offers. Aurelia Probiotic Skincare Mini 3 Step Starter Kit This fantastic mini starter set was on offer for just £5. I have tried to find the link, but sadly, I think this offer has finished now. This mini set comprised a 5ml Miracle Cleanser; 5ml Cell Revitalise Day Moisturiser; 5ml Cell Revitalise Night Moisturiser; 2ml Revitalise & Glow Serum and a cotton face cloth. It was a great chance to be able to try out these products from a well-loved brand. I really enjoyed the Miracle Cleanser, but it is highly perfumed, so wasn't suitable for eye makeup removal. Also, the dinky little 2ml serum bottle had it's own metal roller ball application, but I found it very hard to actually get much product out so the ball felt like it was dragging on my skin. I enjoyed the moisturisers the most. They're very rich and creamy but don't feel ...

Latest in Beauty - The Sunday Times Style Summer Essentials Beauty Box

Image
I don't usually go for the Latest in Beauty Box special collections as there's usually only a couple of items in each box that I'm interested in. But when the Sunday Times Style Summer Essentials box dropped a couple of weeks ago, I was seriously tempted! After umming and aahing about whether I needed it for a while, it wasn't too long before I succumbed and happily (and without regret) ordered this brilliant box. The Sunday Times Style Summer Essentials Box is still available at Latest in Beauty and costs £46 (£49.95 with P+P). Let's take a look inside: It's a beauty alright! Worth a whopping £229, the box is chock full of sixteen makeup, skincare, hair care and perfume products. Six of these are full sized and the others are very generous sample/travel sizes. So many brilliant brands and products to try. I think the makeup selection excited me most. Body and Hair Care * Bondi Sands - Self-Tanning Foam - Dark (110ml) T...

June 2019 Monthly Favourites

Image
Despite June being pretty much a no-buy month for me, I still managed to pick up some firm new favourites  thanks to some beauty box contents, competition wins and one cheeky little impulse purchase! Jorgobe - Hydrating Glow Serum Buy here From May's Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box , this hydrating serum was my favourite from the box and possibly one of my favourite serums of all time! I'm loving everything about this antioxidant serum from its stunning rose gold colour to the surprising but delicious Rosemary and Mint scent. My skin doesn't take to oil-based serums so well in the warmer months as they tend to make my combination skin veer more towards the oily side. Despite this, this is a fast-absorbing dry oil and if I don't feel like I can wear it on it's own in the summer, then I'll just add a drop or two to my day moisturiser to ensure I'm still getting my daily fix of this miracle serum. The Butterbar Skincare - Glow-r...

The Sign Tribe - Remove and Chill Nail Polish Eraser Cream

Image
Remove and Chill Nail Polish Eraser Cream UK availability online at Beauty Mart  RRP £14.25   Ooh! I'm incredibly excited about this Nail Polish Eraser Cream that I just received as one of my monthly Latest in Beauty box picks (still currently available online).   This is an acetone-free nail polish remover in cream form. NB - Will not remove Gel or Shellac   The formulation is infused with an oil complex enriched with macadamia, almond, argan and vitamin E so is much more gentle on the nails and also smells gorgeous.   How to use: 1.Apply a thick layer of the cream on your nail plate. Don't rub it in.   2. Leave the cream on your nails for 1 minute for every nail polish layer - 3 minutes if you have used a base coat and top coat.   3. Massage the cream into your nails and then remove the cream with a dry cotton pad.   4. Wash hands after use.   This was fairly easy to apply ...

Latest in Beauty - May 2019 Picks

Image
I think this may just be one of the best Latest In Beauty Boxes I've ever received! I think it's certainly the best value - these three full-size items total an incredible £157 - and I spent just £9.00!   The May Edit is entitled 'Global Beauty Lookbook'. This month's star product is a full size Murad Age Reform AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser (RRP £38.00).   How it works:     The 'Beauty Novice' is £9.00 for 3 items. The 'Beauty Enthusiast' Box is £15.00 for 6 items The 'Beauty Guru' Box is £18.00 for 9 items. All box prices are inclusive of P+P.   BUY HERE    My Picks: Argentum Apothecary - La Lotion Infinie Body Lotion (RRP £84.00) When I saw that a full size of the Argentum La Lotion Infinie Body Lotion was going to be one of the picks for this month's edit, I knew that I'd have a struggle being in with a chance of getting my hands on one! But fate intervened - a bad night's sleep saw ...

Latest in Beauty - April 2019 Picks

Image
I skipped last month's Latest in Beauty choices, but for April the edit is 'Oh So Natural' which sounded much more promising!   As usual, I opted for just three products in my box (with the option to choose one more box within the month at the same price).    Let's have a reminder of how Latest in Beauty Works:   The 'Beauty Novice' is £9.00 for 3 items. The 'Beauty Enthusiast' Box is £15.00 for 6 items The 'Beauty Guru' Box is £18.00 for 9 items. All box prices are inclusive of P+P.   BUY HERE Here are my three choices:   Schmidt's Natural Deodorant - Bergamot & Lime   There were four different scents of Schmidt's Deodorant to choose from so it was quite hard to pick a favourite! I had intended to go back and include some more in a second box, but these all sold out very quickly (should have upgraded to a bigger box!!). Schmidt's Natural Deodorant is 100% Natural and certified veg...
