NorthburN - June Gift of the Month

Image
NorthburN Gift of the Month (June) £12 + P+P 50ml Mandarin and Bergamot Reed Diffuser 30ml Room Mist 10 Pack of Wax Melts How on earth has it taken me so long to get around to buying NorthburN's fabulous monthly deal?! It's fantastic value at just £12 (plus postage) offering 40% savings on the regular price. I previously tried a NorthburN candle from a Skin Organics Clean Beauty box and found it to have a beautiful long-lasting scent, which burned evenly and lasted for ages. I had always meant to go back and try more. The Mandarin & Bergamot scent is just my cup of tea. And it's the perfect summer scent with its citrus notes. I'm so impressed with each of the products in the box and they all ensure that my house is kept smelling sweet and fresh. I don't often buy wax melts, but these have definitely re-ignited my interest in them.  I've been using one of the heart-shaped wax melts at a time in the evening and they l...

The Bubble Workshop

Image
The Bubble Workshop I've missed browsing idly round shops during the lock-down but one of my greatest pleasures is browsing online for little treats. Sandra, Beauty Balm Blog , ever an inspiration for green beauty buys, recently shared some of her purchases from The Bubble Workshop, so of course, I had to make a little purchase for myself! They have a gorgeous selection of hand made soap and bath bombs, with a choice of sizes and gift sets. My package came in a neat little letterbox sized box, so this would make an ideal treat or gift to send to a friend. I picked up a couple of different soaps to try out, opting for smaller sizes as I prefer smaller, hand-sized bars of soap in the bathroom. I couldn't resist picking up one of The Bubble Workshop's latest creations - the Galaxy Soap . It's a vegan, cold-pressed soap made with coconut and olive oil to give a great lather. It smells absolutely delicious and is scented with cherry and sanda...

Glossier - Skincare Set - First Impressions

Image
Glossier - The Skincare Edit Limited Edition Minis Kit £42 Glossier is a brand that I wanted to try for so long. I used to bemoan the fact that it wasn't available in the UK and so was delighted to hear that it was going to be available to the UK back in 2018.  But did I rush and make a order? Nope! For some reason, despite all my whining and impatience, I never did make that long-anticipated first purchase when the brand became available. Other products came into my hands, and Glossier slipped down onto the 'would like to try ... one day' list! But now - almost two years later, I've finally made my first purchase from Glossier in the form of this skincare set that was offered around Christmas time. But look at it! What a fantastic introduction to the Glossier skincare range! The kit arrived in a large recyclable card suitcase which was fastened with a wide pink Glossier elastic band (will have to find a use for this!). I was also offere...

Mila's Apothecary - Winter Gift Set

Image
Mila's Apothecary - Winter Gift Set I feel a bit cheeky showing this off as this gift set is no longer available. In fact, Mila's Apothecary currently have no products available. Mila herself is volunteering in Greece and is concentrating on this for the near future.  In fact she has been using the proceeds from her sales to fund her volunteering trip at a Women's Refuge - another great reason to support this brand. To be alerted to when Mila is making more products for sale, it's best to follow her on Instagram to keep up to date. I first came across Mila's Apothecary on Instagram and it goes without saying that I was going to be drawn to her use of English Botanical ingredients from the hedgerows and fields. And yes, the fact that her products were limited and not so simple to get a hold of, only drew me in further! So when Mila announced a limited run of Christmas box sets, I knew I just had to get my hands on one. The gift set I ch...
