July 2018 Empties

Image
Another good month for using up products. Looking at this lot makes me feel slightly better at some of the purchases I've made recently!    Skincare Empties     Some of these have been hanging around for ages so it's nice to finally finish them up.   WR - Will repurchase/have repurchased MR - May repurchase in the future (after I've tried other things) WNR - Would not repurchase   * Garnier Skin Active Rosewater Cleansing Milk WNR - nice enough but I'd rather use a cleansing balm or oil. * L'Oreal Age Perfect Refreshing Toner WNR - this was something I picked up on a night away and had forgotten a toner. I packed it away for ages but when I spotted it again and decided to finish it up, it wasn't too bad, so it wasn't a real pain to use up. I just have lots more toners I prefer. * Scinic Aqua All-In-One Ampoule MR - I love this stuff but it's a massive 250ml tub and only has a years shelf-life. I wouldn't have b...

November 2017 ~ Empties

Phew-ee! But it's taking some time to work through some of my full sized products. I was hoping that I'd have at least another full size cleanser empty, but still didn't manage it in November. My swim and gym shower bag seems to be the one place where I'm tearing through the products and this is a great place to get through all of those body wash travel sizes I have in my stash.     * Baptiste Dry Shampoo - already repurchased. A staple in my stash for hair emergencies. * Cosrx - Natural BHA Skin-Returning A-Sol - This was one of the first Korean skincare products I bought and to be honest, I wasn't entirely sure what I was buying! Halfway through this product I learned that BHA was better for blemished skin, and that's something I don't really have a problem with. However, I did use this as a toner if my skin had any break outs and slowly and steadily worked my way through it. I won't be repurchasing though as it's not something I nee...

September 2017 Favourites

Image
For me, September was a good month for beauty subscription boxes - particularly the Fifth Tili Box and my first ever Look Fantastic Box .   I have an ever-growing wish-list of products that I'd love to try and buy. Every month I have a 'loose' budget and will treat myself to generally one of those products, plus a few subscription boxes and then allow some room for essentials and impulse buys!   At the top of my wish-list this month was to try some Jane Scrivner products. Whereas brands like Deciem have very utilitarian products, Jane's have very much more of a luxurious feel - it's all about the best natural ingredients, full of beautiful scents and sumptuous oils - sensuous and tactile all the way. Using Jane Scrivner products is very much like having a mini pampering spa session at home. Luckily, Jane offers a Discovery Bag which costs just £20 and is full of samples for nearly all of her skincare range.     Included in the kit (comes i...
