Late to the Party

What started out as being a planned Anti-Haul post has turned into an Overhaul post! Whilst I've been diligently plodding through so many of the products in my skincare stash and trying incredibly hard to use products up before purchasing more, my eye care products have undergone a complete transformation recently. And I've splashed out on a couple of items to ensure I've got the best eye care products for my needs. It's taken a long time of trial and error to get to this point, but now I'm finally at the stage where I'm satisfied and happy with my eye care routine. Perhaps a very anachronistic and simplistic view, but it's always been considered that putting on a bit of lippie is a woman's way of 'putting a face on' and taking on the world. Much like in the same way a good old cup of tea is the British answer to everything (I'd agree with this sentiment more!). But for me, it's something I always forget to do - and when I do remember, it's always a bit of a shock to me to look in the mirror and see myself wearing it!   Starting Total: A shameful 47   Looking at this lot, I can come up with a few plausible explanations -  1) I'm very safe when it comes to my colour choices but that I clearly have moments of wanting to be a bit more bold. 2) I LOVE the idea of an empowering, bold red lipstick but don't quite have the confidence to carry it off quite as boldly. It used to be the case that I would use a face powder as a finishing touch every day just to take the shine off. But I've pretty much managed to sort out my once much oilier skin through skincare and now I very rarely wear face powder after putting on my foundation, and maybe just use it for a touch-up once in the day.   Because of this, I have several face powders that I've not even managed to hit pan on and they're getting quite old.   What I'm working with: Total: 7 * Two of these have been chosen as part of my 20/20 Vision Panning Project (The Tony Moly Cats Wink Compact and the MUA Loose Powder ) so I feel obliged to see it through and use those up. * Innisfree - No Sebum Mineral Powder - This is fantastic stuff.   Considering I very rarely wear eyeliner, I own far too many to feel comfortable about. As a teen and in my twenties, winged eyeliner was pretty much my signature look. But I've found that now I'm older, I'm just not favouring this style anymore. And more practically, the more wrinkly my eyelids have gotten over time, the more that eyeliner bleeds - which ends up looking messy and unseemly! I'm going to try something new this year - a look at what I DON'T need to be buying! If you've stuck with me so far, you'll know how I'm always whinging about how many products I have hoarded in my stash that took a hot minute to buy but f-o-r-e-v-e-r to use up! I'll be addressing which areas of my stash are most congested with products that I don't need any more of, or may not even use at all.
