Mei Botanics - First Impressions

Image
Mei Botanics Mei Botanics are a new natural vegan skincare brand, based in London, who launched last month. They had some tempting opening offers at their launch, so I decided to try a few of their products. Gentle Rhassoul Cleansing Oil £5.80 for 50ml/£8.90 for 100ml I've never tried a cleansing oil with clays in the ingredients. This oil is suitable for all skin types, including oily and acne prone skin. Shake the bottle before each use as the clay will settle to the bottom. Wet your face and then massage a small pool of all all over the face to remove dirt, impurities, makeup and spf. The oil very gently exfoliates the skin at the same time as giving you a deep cleanse. I found that I could use this on my eyes without irritation, but remember, what may be okay for me, might not suit you! I'm really enjoying this cleansing oil. It's scent-free but does have a natural scent of Lavender. I also love the texture of the oil and clay mixed togethe...

NorthburN - June Gift of the Month

Image
NorthburN Gift of the Month (June) £12 + P+P 50ml Mandarin and Bergamot Reed Diffuser 30ml Room Mist 10 Pack of Wax Melts How on earth has it taken me so long to get around to buying NorthburN's fabulous monthly deal?! It's fantastic value at just £12 (plus postage) offering 40% savings on the regular price. I previously tried a NorthburN candle from a Skin Organics Clean Beauty box and found it to have a beautiful long-lasting scent, which burned evenly and lasted for ages. I had always meant to go back and try more. The Mandarin & Bergamot scent is just my cup of tea. And it's the perfect summer scent with its citrus notes. I'm so impressed with each of the products in the box and they all ensure that my house is kept smelling sweet and fresh. I don't often buy wax melts, but these have definitely re-ignited my interest in them.  I've been using one of the heart-shaped wax melts at a time in the evening and they l...

Image
After only recently coming across Earth Basics on Social Media I decided to go and have a little browse at their online store to see what they have to offer. Akamuti - First Impessions

Image
Akamuti I recently discovered this brand through Skin Organics Beauty Box and loved the product I tried so much that I had to go back and pick up a couple more items. Akamuti, a Welsh brand headed by Lindsey , hand craft natural skin, body and hair care products using only the best natural butters, oils, herbs, aromatic distillates, barks, resins and flowers. They have a strong environmental policy and ethical policies regarding animals and people . The name Akamuti comes from the Bemba language of Zambia and has two meanings - 'Little Tree' and 'Little bit of medicine' and shows the important connection meaning trees and medicines. Akamuti stress that tree ingredients are vital in their products - essential for our health and also for the health of the planet. Amazonian Murmuru Butter £5.00 for 50g This is the product that I received in the most recent Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box. Murmuru Butter is a creamy yellow Brazilian ...

The Bubble Workshop

Image
The Bubble Workshop I've missed browsing idly round shops during the lock-down but one of my greatest pleasures is browsing online for little treats. Sandra, Beauty Balm Blog , ever an inspiration for green beauty buys, recently shared some of her purchases from The Bubble Workshop, so of course, I had to make a little purchase for myself! They have a gorgeous selection of hand made soap and bath bombs, with a choice of sizes and gift sets. My package came in a neat little letterbox sized box, so this would make an ideal treat or gift to send to a friend. I picked up a couple of different soaps to try out, opting for smaller sizes as I prefer smaller, hand-sized bars of soap in the bathroom. I couldn't resist picking up one of The Bubble Workshop's latest creations - the Galaxy Soap . It's a vegan, cold-pressed soap made with coconut and olive oil to give a great lather. It smells absolutely delicious and is scented with cherry and sanda...
