Current Eye Care Products

Image
What started out as being a planned Anti-Haul post has turned into an Overhaul post! Whilst I've been diligently plodding through so many of the products in my skincare stash and trying incredibly hard to use products up before purchasing more, my eye care products have undergone a complete transformation recently. And I've splashed out on a couple of items to ensure I've got the best eye care products for my needs. It's taken a long time of trial and error to get to this point, but now I'm finally at the stage where I'm satisfied and happy with my eye care routine. Last month I reviewed the two star products in my eye care routine - the Alexa Sky Botanicals Alpine Cellular Complex Brightening Eye Balm  and the Pure Savvy Eye to Eye Serum .  Let's take a look at the rest of my favoured products. Here are the eye care products currently being used in my routines: From L-R: Pure Savvy - Eye to Eye Revitalising Eye Serum; E.L.F - Undereye...

20/20 Vision Panning Project ~ One Year Update

Image
It's been a whole year since I started this mega panning project. With six months left to go, I thought I'd do an update on how I'm finding working through so many products. The idea behind this project is to choose 20 makeup items and 20 beauty/skincare items to use up by 1/1/2020 Here's where I started at in July 2018. 20 Skincare products chosen 20 Makeup products chosen And a year on - here's what I have remaining: Not too bad! Just two skincare items left from a starting point of 20. And ten makeup items left from a starting point of 20. Progress: As I suspected, I found it easier to get through the skincare products faster than the makeup products. Before starting this project I had never even finished a lipstick! I only have a couple of uses left of The Body Shop Drops of Light Peel , so that should be finished up within this month. The Ordinary EUK 134 has been much harder to finish as I find it hard to fit into...

Latest in Beauty - The Sunday Times Style Summer Essentials Beauty Box

Image
I don't usually go for the Latest in Beauty Box special collections as there's usually only a couple of items in each box that I'm interested in. But when the Sunday Times Style Summer Essentials box dropped a couple of weeks ago, I was seriously tempted! After umming and aahing about whether I needed it for a while, it wasn't too long before I succumbed and happily (and without regret) ordered this brilliant box. The Sunday Times Style Summer Essentials Box is still available at Latest in Beauty and costs £46 (£49.95 with P+P). Let's take a look inside: It's a beauty alright! Worth a whopping £229, the box is chock full of sixteen makeup, skincare, hair care and perfume products. Six of these are full sized and the others are very generous sample/travel sizes. So many brilliant brands and products to try. I think the makeup selection excited me most. Body and Hair Care * Bondi Sands - Self-Tanning Foam - Dark (110ml) T...

What's on the shelves at T.K Maxx - July 2019

Image
You may be able to tell that I've got a thing about shopping in T.K Maxx! I just love the anticipation of not knowing what you're going to find at any given time.  Most purchases I make from T.K Maxx are pure impulse buys - I very rarely find anything I actually need, so it's perhaps not good for my stash to keep adding these impulse purchases to. But I can't stop!! I recently wrote a post about buying 'unknown' brands from T.K Maxx and how they often turn out to be real treasure - at much reduced prices. You can read that post here. Here's what was on the shelves in my nearest T.K Maxx today (Castle Mall branch in Norwich). I spotted the Timeless products straight away. The HA & Vitamin C serum was just £7.99. However, I resisted as Aloe Vera is quite high in the ingredients. I previously bought the Timeless HA Mist and found that it didn't really agree with my skin because of the Aloe, which is such a shame as this was a great f...

June 2019 Empties

Image
A healthy amount of empties this month - including a couple of my everyday essentials that have been/will need to be replaced Key WR - Will repurchase or have already repurchased. MR - Might repurchase at a later date when similar products have been used up first. WNR - Will not repurchase. Either it wasn't right/didn't work for me, was too expensive or I just didn't like it. * Emma Hardie - Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm MR It took me a while to buy into the Emma Hardie fan club but after using her famous Moringa cleansing balm I can absolutely see why everyone loves it so much. I think it took me a while to respect the scent of Moringa but again, I grew to love it. The texture of this balm is amazing too. I love how it emulsifies into a milky lotion and clears up all makeup, grime and SPF with ease. Would like to repurchase, but there's a long list of balms to use up and other balms I'd like to try first. * Eau Thermale Avene - Skin Reco...
