What is it?
A super hydrating lightweight eye serum. Eyes will feel instantly refreshed and revitalised,
Ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Propanediol, Gluconolactone, Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract, Glycerin, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Sodium Benzoate, Panthenol, Calcium Gluconate, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Ascorbic Acid
Scent and Texture:
Clear ultra lightweight gel texture. Very light fresh rose scent.
Application:
Recommended to be used in both morning and evening skincare routines.
Can also be re-applied during the day as and when needed without affecting eye makeup.
Thoughts
For me, the major culprit for making my under eye area look older, more tired and baggier is dehydration. Fine lines seem so much more pronounced when the skin under my eyes is dehydrated.
The delicate eye area is a difficult one to please and treat right. There is nothing worse than an eye product that sits on top of the skin leaving a tacky residue which then dries down to leave a tight feeling.
Most eye serums are going to favour Hyaluronic Acid in the ingredients and rightly so, as it's all about hydrating the under eye area. But HA often does feel quite tacky, so its inclusion, whilst essential, can also be its downfall. So, what to do?
The Pure Savvy Eye to Eye Serum has this dilemma well and truly cleared up by using Tremella Fuciformis (Snow Mushroom) instead of HA. I've already raved about the use of Snow Mushroom in Pure Savvy products in my earlier review of the Pure Savvy Come Hell or High Water 3-in-1 Micellar Water. But briefly, Snow Mushroom is a natural alternative to Hyaluronic Acid but its particles are even smaller than Hyaluronic Acid so it can penetrate the skin better. Added to that, Snow Mushroom doesn't seem to have the same tacky aftermath that most HA products do, so that's another massive advantage over HA in my book!
The Pure Savvy Eye to Eye Serum absorbs into my skin instantly and thoroughly. So there's no problem in re-applying this serum throughout the day without removing all that hard work I've done trying to conceal the lines and dark circles under my eyes!
The Eye to Eye Serum is equivalent to wearing a physical cooling eye gel mask all day long!
If like me, you're someone who likes to 'double up' on eye products to get maximum hydration, this is an ideal serum to choose as it plays so well with other products without leaving the delicate under eye area feeling congested or overwhelmed with product.
There's never been a hint of milia, which can regularly happen with eye creams and absolutely no irritation to the eyes or watering eyes, which is something I've personally been struggling with in the past few months when using an eye cream.
I predict that this eye serum will forever remain as a continuing part of my daily skincare routine due to its effortless role in keeping my under eye area hydrated, brighter and refreshed. It's fabulous for de-puffing and generally making my eyes look and feel more awake and alert with a visible reduction in the appearance of fine lines.
