Who?
Pure Savvy are an Indie British Natural Skincare brand who create luxurious, high-performance, multi-functional skincare for women on the go.
Steph Kelby, the founder of Pure Savvy, describes herself as an ex-corporate workaholic, talkative and impatient (her words!) she has no time for drawn-out skincare rituals and wants fast, efficient products that perform well and deliver instant results.
So she set out to create them herself...

I've recently been introduced to her entire skincare range and it's an incredibly comprehensive range. Steph has covered all the fundamentals of a good skincare routine in her range - they're wittily and snappily named, full of humour and vigour; beautiful and impactful yet simple ingredients; no-nonsense products that really do deliver

 What is it?
Come Hell or High Water is a 3-in-1 Micellar water that acts as a morning cleanser, toner, refreshing facial mist and makeup remover.
Includes Snow Mushroom (Tremella Fuciformis) to hydrate skin and maintain the skin's elasticity. Snow Mushroom acts in a similar way to Hyaluronic Acid, which can hold up to 1,000 times it's weight in water. However, snow mushroom particles are even smaller than Hyaluronic acid, so it can penetrate the skin easier. A natural alternative to Hyaluronic Acid which performs even better than HA? Yes Please!

Ingredients:
Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Aqua (Water), Pentylene Glycol, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Glycerin, Sodium Lactate, Sodium Levulinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Propanediol, Panthenol, Sodium Anisate, Allantoin, Gluconolactone, Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract, Lactic Acid, Phytic Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Calcium Gluconate, Ascorbic Acid

Scent and Texture:
Watery consistency with a very faint fresh rose scent. When sprayed onto cotton wool, Come Hell or High Water foams up slightly.

Application:
As a morning cleanse - apply to a cotton pad and sweep across entire face and neck. Does not need to be rinsed off. Cleanses and tones in one.
As a makeup remover - Again, spray onto a cotton pad and sweep across entire face and neck. Is particularly effective as an eye makeup remover as the foam really helps to draw out eye makeup and mascara. I use the cotton wool pad and place it over my entire eye, sweeping across to remove eye shadow. And then, using the same pad - press it against my lashes to remove mascara, finally sweeping under my eye to catch any smudges.
As a facial spritz - Can also be used any time of the day as a hydrating, soothing facial spritz.

Thoughts:
I've been intrigued about the use of Snow Mushroom in skincare but this is the first time I've tried a product which uses this ingredient. I don't think there are many (if any) British products which yet utilise this natural wonder, so I was delighted to finally get a chance to try it out in a product.

Come Hell or High Water has been a game changer for me! In fact, all of Pure Savvy's products that I've tried so far have been game changers.

As a long time practitioner and fan of a long, ritualised and involved skincare routine, how on earth was I going to get along with an unfussy, no-nonsense approach to skincare?!
Pretty great, as it turns out!

I'll be honest, before now I've generally considered Micellar Water to be quite a plain, perfunctory product. I usually only use a Micellar Water to remove my eye makeup before double cleansing at night. And in a way, Come Hell or High Water is a very perfunctory product, in that it does it's job really, really well. But - this is definitely NOT a bog standard Micellar water.

The extreme hydrating properties of the Snow Mushroom, coupled with the cooling and soothing Cucumber Fruit Extract and the fresh and delicate scent of the Rose Water, makes this an ideal gentle yet effective cleanser.

I'd usually use a floral water for my morning cleanse but switched to Come Hell or High Water when I received it. It was one of those light bulb moments! Because of the foaming action, this Micellar Water has so much more Va-Va-Voom than a regular Micellar Water (or a floral water). It's the difference between my skin just feeling fresh and my skin feeling much cleaner, more awake and much fresher, without feeling stripped of natural oils. Added to that, it's an absolute treat on my eyes every morning, which can often feel quite tired, sticky and puffy when I wake up. Come Hell or High Water also doubles up as toner, and I've had no problem not using a separate toner without my routine feeling compromised.

At night, I use Come Hell or High Water as the very first step in my evening routine to remove my eye makeup before double cleansing. It's incredibly effective at removing eye makeup quickly and thoroughly and is completely non-irritating. I often go in with another final sweep after I've finished double-cleansing, mostly just to freshen up my eye area. The Come Hell or High Water has currently replaced the need for a separate eye tonic (such as Cornflower water).

As previously mentioned, I'm a complete sucker for a long, drawn out skincare routine. But if you were pushed for time then Come Hell or High Water would definitely suffice as your only cleanser. It would be an ideal product to take to a festival or camping where you didn't have quick and easy access to water or a sink as you could quite happily use this to cleanse and tone in one. In this kind of situation you could probably get away with a three product routine - Come Hell and High Water, Moisturiser and SPF.
Never did I think that I'd ever hear myself utter the words " three product routine" but if needs must, the world wouldn't come to an end and your skin would still be happy and well looked after!!

Now that I've experienced the joy of using Come and Hell or High Water, I'd really notice the difference if I reverted to using a regular Micellar Water. This is on the pricier side of what I'd usually spend but in this instance it's definitely worth splashing out a bit more on such a superior product.
