Brand Spotlight - Dames and Dimes
I first came across this British brand via Instagram and was wowed by their colourful product posts which were always filled with humour, warmth and tantalising texture shots. When I saw that they offered free sample sets (you just pay postage) then I leapt at the chance to try out their products.

The humour and sense of playfulness is evident throughout the brand from their packaging, their website and definitely in the products themselves.
The vibe may be frivolous but the products aren't mucking about - these are some serious heavy-hitters giving sound and consistent good results.

Without doubt, this is one of the most delicious cleansing balm scents I've ever tried! This smells exactly like chocolate orange and all without using any artificial fragrances.
I'm all about the sensory experience with my skincare and the Chocolate Orange Cleansing Balm offers that up by the bucket load. With some product scents you inhale deeply and immediately feel calm and chilled but with this, you inhale deeply and there's no way you won't have a ginormous happy grin on your face. Rating on the Joy Scale? A full-on ten out of ten for its ludicrous levels of pure, unfettered happiness!
I'd buy this little pot of happy for its joy-inducing qualities alone, but tee-hees aside, this is a really lovely cleansing balm and it works like a charm too.
It's a rich balm which makes light work of removing daily grime, makeup and SPF without clogging the skin. It's non-emulsifying so you need to remove with a warm face cloth. But I'm happy with this as I would always use a face cloth regardless. Although I use a micellar water to remove the majority of my eye makeup before using the balm, I can quite happily, and without irritation, use the balm over my eye area to mop up those left over mascara smudges.
After using the balm you are left with a fine layer of moisturising oils so your face feels super clean, super soft and hydrated.

Carthamus tinctorius (organic cold pressed safflower) seed oil, Theobroma cacao (organic cocoa) seed butter, Cera alba (organic beeswax), Simmondsia chinensis (organic jojoba) seed oil, Rosa canina (organic rose hip) seed oil, Citrus sinensis (organic sweet orange) peel oil,( Limonene, Linalool, Citral - occur naturally in essential oils).
The Sunset Glow Recovery Balm is one of Dames and Dimes more recent products.
I tried this from the sample pack and fell in love immediately.
With a colour even more striking than the Chocolate Orange Cleansing Balm (derived naturally from the inclusion of Sea Buckthorn Oil and Carrot Root extract) the balm is scented in typical Dames and Dimes yummy style with tangerine and lime.
An all-over multi-use balm which will bring relief and radiance to every part of your body.
Intensely nourishing for any dry patches or sensitive spots and also makes a great overnight facial treatment (again, is not pore-clogging).
