What is it?
You're probably all already in the loop and know exactly what a body candle is! But this is a new concept to me and I was utterly intrigued to find out more!
A body candle looks like a candle, smells like a candle - but when you burn it, the pool that collects is oil rather than wax and you can pour the melted oil directly onto your skin for a luxurious warming massage.
The body candle is 70ml and has an 8 hour burn time.

Who?
Beeutiful is a British Natural skincare brand who use 100% natural ingredients. Their product range uses honey from their own hives and locally collected beeswax. Their products are not tested on animals and they only harvest honey, wax and propolis (which doesn't harm the bees) but never Royal Jelly or Bee Venom (which comes from dead bees). Donations from sales are made to Friends of the Honeybee, a charity which researches declining numbers of honeybees.

Beeutiful just picked up four awards in this years Beauty Shortlist Awards - Best Bee Beauty Brand; Best Beauty Balm for their B-Rose Facial Balm; Best Body Balm for their Frankincense and Rose Body Balm and an Editor's Choice Award for their Vanilla Geranium Cleansing Balm.

 Ingredients:
Soy Wax, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Jojoba Oil, Sweet Orange, Ginger, Patchouli and Rosewood Essential Oils.

 Packaging:
The candle comes in a gorgeous little red pot with a dinky pouring spout.

Scent:
Carly at Beeutiful gave me a choice of what scent I preferred and I immediately loved the sound of the Warm Orange and Ginger (the other scents available are Neroli and Vanilla and Rose Spice).

 Application:
Light your body candle as you are relaxing in the bath and when a nice little pool of oil has collected, your body candle is ready to use. Extinguish the candle before using.
Even directly poured, the oil is just pleasantly warm - there's certainly no fear of being burned!

Thoughts:
That's it! I'm absolutely enthralled with everything about this candle (and brand) - the presentation, the look of the candle, the beautiful scent and of course the whole ritual of lighting the candle, letting it burn till a little pool of oil develops and the amazing sensation of massaging with the warm oil.
You only need a small amount as this oil has a great slip and covers a lot of skin. Whilst it feels very decadent to pour directly onto my body, I did find that I'd pour out a bit too much oil (because it's fun!), so it made sense to pour into the palm of my hand and then distribute the oil to different parts of my body.

Banish all thoughts of a regular candle from your mind! There's nothing waxy about this oil whatsoever. It's a luxurious body oil with a high-end feel. But magnify that because of the bonus warmth. This combination of sumptuous oil and warmth makes this an ultimately superior experience. Even when the pool of oil has slightly set, this is more like a balm, which still melts beautifully into your skin.
Can you tell just how much I love this body candle?!!
