August 2019 Monthly Favourites

Here's the products that I've loved using the most during August:

It's a rare treat to get to try the entire product range of a brand, but this month saw that happen twice!
Firstly was the capsule range from the fabulous Lime & Lilac after I was lucky enough to be chosen as a brand ambassador for. And also, the entire range in the form of a starter set from Meadow Botanical Skincare, which I won this month in an Instagram giveaway.

*Lime & Lilac - The entire range!
In August I was delighted to be chosen as a brand ambassador for one of my favourite brands - Lime & Lilac.
As such, I was sent the entire range of Lime & Lilac products to review.
In this package was included the new-to-me Passionflower Cleansing Oil, which has been on my wish-list since Lisa announced it as the newest addition to her range earlier this year. And the long wait did not disappoint!
Also included were two products that I already know and love - The Light Facial Oil (which also happens to be my favourite facial oil - read all about that here). And the Capri Body Oil, which I'm so delighted to have back in my possession!
Full reviews for all will follow shortly.

I won this fabulous starter set in an Instagram giveaway in August. I couldn't have been more delighted as Meadow Skincare have been on my radar this year and is a brand that I really wanted to try out. What a fabulous introduction!
Presented beautifully in a gift box, complete with adorable tiny wooden spoon and face cloth.
Meadow Botanical Skincare products are Vegan, 100% Natural, Waterless and Organic.
The inci for these products is just out of this world - I mean absolutely, phenomenally good!
And I think I may have just been introduced to the finest face mask that I've ever met!
Review to follow in September.

A couple of months ago I found my Holy Grail eye product in the shape of Alexa Sky Botanicals Alpine Cellular Complex Brightening Eye Balm (read review here).
So when Alexandra reached out to me to ask if I would like to review the 24K Gold Elixir I jumped at the chance!
A stunning light-weight dry oil with 24K gold flakes suspended in every dropper. This facial oil was a summer must-have for me as it's beautiful lightweight consistency and fantastic absorption meant that I could incorporate it into my summer morning skincare routine. This is a rare occurrence for me as I usually can't bring any oil-based products into my daytime skincare as my skin gets so much oilier in the warmer months.
It's brightening effects often gave me the confidence to go bare-faced - again, another rare occurrence!
Such a fabulous light and glow-giving elixir which made both my skin and me very happy!

The Inkey List was a brand that appeared to jump out of nowhere last year during all the commotion surrounding The Ordinary drama. Offering a very comprehensive range of skincare staples and treatments at really affordable prices, The Inkey List really filled the gap for those looking for alternatives to The Ordinary products.
But the Snow Mushroom serum was my first purchase. I wanted to try it after being introduced to Snow Mushroom as an ingredient in Pure Savvy products.  Snow Mushroom is touted as a natural alternative to Hyaluronic Acid, but with smaller molecules, so able to penetrate the skin even more effectively than HA.
I had a bit of a light bulb moment in August when I finally uncovered the common strand in my skincare routine that was making my facial oils pill - the culprit seemed to be HA!
So thinking back on just how much I loved the hydration of the Pure Savvy products (without the pilling!) I picked up a tube of this serum.
The results were outstanding!

I've been lucky enough to try two different products from Skin Alchemists, both courtesy of the Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box.
The first was the Humble Warrior Cleansing Oil, which is a stunning cleansing oil offering an incredibly opulent pampering experience.
And in July's 'Awaken' box was a deluxe sample of Sesenne.
As with the Humble Warrior, Sesenne is an absolute bounty of luxurious ingredients including Cacay Seed Oil, Ubiquinone and Rose de Mai.
I've been adding a couple of drops of Sesenne to my daytime moisturiser in the morning to nourish and rejuvenate my skin. With it's calming and brightening properties, my skin has really been looking its best - so much more brighter, clearer and with an even-toned and even-textured complexion.
Skin Alchemists intrigue me with their fascinating scent combinations and Sesenne is no exception! It's hard to give a name to a scent this complex. But looking at the essential oils used in the elixir - Turmeric, Rose Geranium,Rosewood, West Indian Bay, Frankincense, Nutmeg, Lime, Rose de Mail, Myrrh, Clemetine, Rose Otto, Cocoa and Jasmine - you can see why simple adjectives won't do the scent justice. It's more of a magical equation which the English language doesn't yet contain the words to match!
I hope to review both Skin Alchemists products in the near future.
