Weekly Makeup Bag #30

Image
Last week was so bloody hot that I really didn't want to wear much makeup and quite frankly, when I did, it looked very over the top! So this week, even though the weather is set to be a bit cooler, I'm sticking to the Erborian CC Cream as the only base I'll be wearing (if at all) and some under eye concealer.   * Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops I've been adding these to my moisturiser just once or twice a week. * Under-eyes - Model Co Instant Radiance Under Eye Concealer (not pictured) - wasn't sure how keen I was about this last week - the colour is slightly orange-y but when used with the E.L.F Under Eye Primer it actually worked really well. * Face - Erborian CC Crème * Contour - Illamasqua Gel Sculpt Contour (not pictured) * Blusher - Nars Orgasm * Mascara - Ciate Wonderwand I'm loving this mini mascara and would consider buying a full size in the future. * Eyes - Urban Decay Naked Heat     Urban Decay Naked Heat Palet

Espa - Optimal Skin Experience Review

Image
The Espa Optimal Skin Experience Set £30 BUY HERE     I was sent this set to try out a few months ago. I've only ever tried Espa products when I've previously received them in beauty boxes. What I knew and remembered about them first and foremost was the luxury, spa-feel of the brand. Rich, luxe textures and amazingly good scents!   For the price, this set is a fantastic introduction to the brand, or else a mini spa-at-home experience on days when you want that extra bit of self-care and love.   The set consists of:   Optimal Skin ProCleanser (30ml) A 3-in-1 gel cleanser, exfoliator and face mask.   Hydrating Floral Spafresh (12ml)   Toner in a glass spray mist bottle.    Optimal Skin ProSerum (10ml) A facial-oil type serum.   Optimal Skin ProMoisturiser (15ml)  Rich moisturising cream in a jar.       ProCleanser   A 3 in 1 cleanser, exfoliator and mask to nourish, smooth and visibly brighten the complexion. I'm not us

Weekly Makeup Bag #29

Some of last week's makeup choices felt like they were bordering on 'duty' ov er joy, so I really wanted to pep up my choices for this week! Certainly picking eye shadow singles for last week felt quite boring and I have been re-considering some of my Colourpop Super Shock choices - several of them were 'how exactly am I supposed to wear this?' shades. It makes me realise that I much prefer a palette over singles - so this week, it's not one palette I've chosen but two - both of my build-your-own Obsession palettes are featured. I enjoyed the 7 days - 7 lipsticks challenge I set myself and was excited to choose seven for this week too.     * Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream - It's so hot this week that I don't think I'll be wearing much makeup - especially as I intend to be at the beach and swimming in the sea a lot. I've also added the Obsession Foundation Darkener to mix with this BB Cream, as it's too pale on its own for su

Weekly Makeup Bag #28

My several-week run of good skin seems to have come to a screeching halt this week! I've got a huge 'thing' under my eye (not sure if it's a spot or a bite) that is making the skin under my right eye really puffy and swollen. And I appear to have several more small blemishes on my face too. For this reason, I think I'm going to need a bit more coverage this week, so will be bringing a medium coverage foundation back into the mix.   * Foundation - Holika Holika Gudetama Cushion Foundation Shade 21 has been too light for me so I added some Obsession Makeup foundation darkener in to this to see if it helps.   * E.L.F Under-eye Primer   * Missha Under-eye Brightener This is starting to feel a little dry, so mixing this with the E.L.F under-eye primer ensures that it stays moist and hydrating.   * Powder - MUA Loose Powder   * Blusher - Inglot Cream Blusher This is one of my 20/20 Vision Project picks and I'm remembering how much I love

Summer Sales Mini Haul - Obsession

Image
It's Summer Sales time and whilst I've been trying to avert my eyes, some of these sales have been too good to pass by.   Makeup Revolution have a sale where some items have up to 70% off.  This sale has been on for a while, and some of the really good deals have now sold out - but there are still lots of items still available.   I headed straight for the Obsession Makeup section. Obsession have the most amazing eye shadow pans that you can choose to build your own palette with. These are only £2 each when full price, but with most of the single eye shadow pans being knocked down to 60p; the lip stick pans also being 60p (I think the Highlighters and Contours were only 60p too) and blush pans being reduced to 90p. I picked up another of the large rose gold empty palettes for just £2.40 (usually £8) and started filling!       I also picked up another large empty magnetic palette (I think this was just £3) and some Obsession foundation darkener (£1.80) as I

Scinic Vitamin C 100 All In One Ampoule Review

Image
Scinic Vitamin C 100 All-In-One Ampoule 300ml for £20.00 - £25.00 The Cheapest I found was on ebay for $25.00 (approx. £20) HERE     This is going to be more of an obituary than a review, because this product unfortunately suffered an early demise.   About   It's been hard to find an ingredient list for this product as I can only find most information that's written in Korean. According to YesStyle this ampoule contains 100% Vitamin C from England for hydration and brightening, hyaluronic acid for hydration, lemon extract, orange extract and apple extract to revitalize skin, rosehip oil for a brightening effect. This was very much an impulse buy for me when I first saw this new all-in-one ampoule from Scinic. Vitamin C is one of my favourite ingredients and as much as I love my Hero Project Vit C-30 Serum, it's too oily to use in the morning so I really wanted to find a Vitamin C product that could be used in my morning routine. The Scinic AIO ampoule
