Colourpop Mini Haul

Image
I've been seeing so many photographs on social media of some amazing products from this American brand. You can buy Colourpop in the UK ( Glammua , House of Beauty , Make Up Mart, ) - however, it's always cheaper to buy from the Colourpop site (although I did incur a shocking customs charge, see further down in this post).   Another reason that I was tempted to buy direct from Colourpop was that they offer $5 off for your first purchase (which is a free Super Shock eye shadow!) and free international shipping over $50 (about £38.00) and it wasn't hard to easily find $50 worth of products that I wanted - and lots were discounted too.   So here's my mini haul:     I was insanely excited to receive this package - I think it took just over a week to reach me BUT my excitement was hugely dampened by getting a card from Royal Mail saying there was a £10 customs charge plus an £8 handling fee to pay before I could get my package!!! In almost 20...

TonyMoly - Fruity Beauties

Image
You might be able to tell that I'm a big fan of TonyMoly. It was the quirky packaging that first drew me in and from then on, the more I found out about other Korean beauty brands, the more obsessed I got.   Most of the above items were from a gift set that I bought in Sephora in Seville back in January for just 10 euros in their sale (with hindsight I'm kicking myself that I actually was in a real-life Sephora and this is all I walked out with!! Oh, if I could turn back time!) The banana sleeping pack was bought from T.K Maxx.       Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream   £15 for 80g ( Buy HERE )   This gentle exfoliating cream works in the same way as my regular fave The Bodyshop Drops of Life Resurfacing Peel, in that it balls up when massaged into the skin and very gentle exfoliates, leaving skin fresh, clean and unclogs pores. The texture is like a classic cold cream and it has a lovely apple scent (not an art...

TonyMoly ~ The Fresh Phytoncide Pore Gel Cream Review

Image
TonyMoly  ~The Fresh Phytoncide Pore Gel Cream   I'm coming to the end of this pot of pore gel cream which I have been using everyday, both morning and evening since I opened it nearly two months ago. But typically, there seems to be very little information about this online and it doesn't seem to be readily stocked and easy to buy!   I picked this up from T.K Maxx, which could explain why it doesn't seem like a popular product online (and I mean popular in readily available) as it was possibly an end of line product, hence the reason why it ended up in T.K Maxx.   The product   The Fresh Phytoncide pore cream gel is a lightweight gel cream in the same vein as the water/aqua gels. It contains 100% pure Hinoki Cypress Water instead of distilled water. The cream is suited for oily/combination skin and acne troubled skin and enlarged pores.   Ingredients The writing on the pot is all in Korean but I found a list of ingredients on th...

Ceremoniie Everyday Sheet Mask Reveiw

Image
It's been a great couple of weeks for trying out new sheet masks. So far I've only ever used sheet masks in the evening as that's when I have the most time for my skincare routine and relaxing with a sheet mask is one of my favourite parts of a routine. But when I was sent this mask to try from Cosmic Beauty , who are a UK-based Kbeauty online shop, I thought I'd give it a go when I had some time to spare after my post-gym shower.   Ceremoniie is a German brand who I'd never heard of before, so I really didn't know what to expect from this mask as I hadn't seen any reviews.   Fit and Scent: Totally odourless scent with a slightly viscous serum. The fit was initially good but it did wrinkle up a bit when wearing. I wore this for the suggested 30 minutes. I do usually like to wear a mask for as long as I can, if it's still serum-soaked then I'll happily wear one for up to an hour. However, this mask felt like it was 'done' by...

Unboxing - Latest in Beauty

Image
Although I don't subscribe to it monthly, I still have a lot of love for Latest in Beauty when my interest in other beauty subscription boxes has seriously waned. Every so often I'll check out the new products they add and when it looks like a good line-up, I'll go in and order. But I received an email from Latest in Beauty offering 30% off as an enticement because I hadn't ordered in a while, and that offer was too good to miss. Again, I opted for the 'Beauty Guru' option of 9 products with free postage (usually £18.00).     Loving the blue and turquoise colour scheme.     Peeking! (Which is a bit pointless since I chose the items myself!)     The full reveal   So, What's in the box? SOURCE     1. 111 Skin Cellulose Facial Treatment Mask - ( Buy HERE  - 5 masks for £85.00) When I showed this booty off on Instagram someone told me that they also loved these masks but that they were 5 for £85!...

July Favourite - Niod

Image
Niod - Non-invasive Options in Dermal Science Niod is just one of the brands from Canadian skincare Gods - Deciem (The Abnormal Beauty Company) - other brands are The Ordinary, Hylamide, The Chemistry Brand, Stemm, Fountain, HIF, White RX and AB Crew. I already own a large majority of The Ordinary products as the products are an amazingly affordable alternative for essential science/beauty hybrid products that really work! Niod products are at a higher price point (but not significantly compared to other brands offering similar products).   I initially wanted to try out Niod CAIS (Copper Amino Isolate Serum 1.00%) as I had heard so many amazing things about this product's seemingly miraculous results on many of the main signs of aging -  including texture, uneven skin tone and enlarged pores. All issues I want to address. The brand also promises that within just five days of continued use you will notice younger looking skin. I'll go into more d...

Fake it till you make it!

Image
Not really been much of a summer so far has it? Despite living on the coast, we've hardly had many 'beach days' this year, so I've found myself taking more interest than I ever have before in self-tanning products. It started with the Vita Liberata Ten Minute Tan sample that came in the fourth QVC Tili box (you can read my first impression of that - here ). And then I received a couple of self-tanning items to review - and they really piqued my interest in going for the glow by fair means or foul! I really enjoyed the Vita Liberata ten minute tan - if anything, it was maybe a bit too natural. You know what it's like? You try it a couple of times, you like it, you think you've got it all under control and then you find yourself in T.K Maxx looking for something a little edgier, a little more exciting... I've never been on 'that side of the street' before - the self-tan aisle. Previously, to me, that's where the big boys hung out, the on...
