20/20 Vision Panning Project ~ One Year Update
It's been a whole year since I started this mega panning project. With six months left to go, I thought I'd do an update on how I'm finding working through so many products.
The idea behind this project is to choose 20 makeup items and 20 beauty/skincare items to use up by 1/1/2020
20 Skincare products chosen
20 Makeup products chosen
And a year on - here's what I have remaining:
Not too bad! Just two skincare items left from a starting point of 20. And ten makeup items left from a starting point of 20.
Progress:
As I suspected, I found it easier to get through the skincare products faster than the makeup products. Before starting this project I had never even finished a lipstick!
I only have a couple of uses left of The Body Shop Drops of Light Peel, so that should be finished up within this month.
The Ordinary EUK 134 has been much harder to finish as I find it hard to fit into my routine. It's a bit too oily for summer use but even in the colder months I struggle to use this. It's a bit of a strange one as it's one of those products where you know the ingredients are good for your skin, but you don't actually get to see any noticeable results. This makes it hard for me to choose this over an antioxidant serum where I do see results.

The MUA Matte Perfect Loose Powder still has a lot of product left. Not entirely sure that I'll be able to finish this within six month. I concentrated more on the Tony Moly Cats Wink Powder Compact. I'm confident that I'll finish this, but probably at the expense of the MUA Loose Powder.

I haven't hit pan on the Elf Highlighter. I'm actually really disliking this highlighter! I can't see myself finishing this and it will definitely be de-cluttered at the end of this project as I'm sick of the sight of it! The Nars Orgasm Blush was a mini to start with so I thought it wouldn't be too hard to hit pan. I use it quite frequently but I still haven't hit pan, although there are some obvious dents made (not really showing in the above photo). The Colourpop Super Shock Eye Shadow in 'Bae' has a shallower pan that I thought! There's a small hint of pan in it, but it will take some consistent use to finish this off.
No sign of the bottom with the Elf Tinted Lip Balm either and the photo doesn't appear to show much progress although it's definitely gone down.

I use the Bagsy Wow Lips quite frequently, so I'm confident I'll be able to use this up. Starting point was 15mm. There's 8mm left.
The Nars Copacabana Cream Highlighter Stick has been an utter nightmare and another product that I'm sick to the back teeth of! It's turned into a gooey, putty-like mess so has been hard to measure its progress as I have to keep re-shaping it! I'm really not enjoying wearing it either as it's so cakey. Another de-clutter if I don't finish this - which is looking very unlikely. Starting point was 22mm. There's still 11mm left.
The ByTerry Ombre Blackstar is another one that's been hard to get through. I love the colour but it really doesn't stay put on the eyes so I'm not that eager to reach for it. Starting point was 25mm. There's still 25mm left (not sure how that works?!).

Just the Inglot Cream Blusher left out of this lot. It's the oldest product in my collection and is definitely way past it's expiry date! I love this and it's since been discontinued so I can't repurchase. But it's definitely not performing as well as it used to.
I wish I'd set myself some more defined goals on these products now, such as 'hit pan on' or 'use 45 times' rather than just aimed to finish them all completely. But if I ever take part in a long-term project pan again, I'll know better next time!
