What is it?
A rich facial oil serum enriched with 10% Fruit Enzymes. This Serum is packed with AHA’s, vitamins, anti-oxidants, and essential fatty-acids to help you achieve a refreshed and smooth complexion.

Ingredients
Prunus Domestica (Plum) Seed Oil, Caprylic Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Aqua, Averrhoa Carambola Fruit Extract, Passiflora Incarnata (Passionflower) Fruit Extract, Actinidia Deliciosa (Kiwi) Fruit Extract, Garcinia Mangostana (Mangosteen) Fruit Extract, Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Extract, Litchi Chinensis Fruit Extract, Zizyphus Jujuba (Jujube) Fruit Extract, Psidium Guajava (Guava) Fruit Extract, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Sucrose Laurate, Lactobacillus, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract

Scent and Texture
The serum has the most amazing scent of Cherry Bakewell Tart! The first ingredient is Plum Kernel Oil which has a naturally sweet and fruity marzipan/almond scent.
Facial oil texture but with a creamy edge - product needs to be shaken as the ingredients can separate.

Application
Shake well and apply three to four drops of serum in the evening as part of your skin care routine. Massage into skin. For dry skin, this serum is also suitable for day time use. Simply wait a few minutes for skin to absorb the serum before applying makeup.

Thoughts
Without a doubt, the first thing that made me fall in love with this serum immediately, and still continues to make me smile every time I use it, is its amazing scent of Cherry Bakewell!
So much so that I immediately went back to the Spoiled Bee website and bought a bottle of their Cold Pressed Plum Kernel Oil so I could enjoy this amazing natural scent as a body oil. The Spoiled Bee also sell raw ingredients for people to make their own formulations (with helpful product recipes given on the website).

I've been loving using this as the last step in my night time routine as a facial oil which doubles up as a gentle enzyme exfoliator. This is such a joyful serum to use - the scent, the texture, the results. Everything about it is quite frankly, perfect.
Whilst it is quite a rich oil, it absorbs really well and when left overnight, really works hard to nourish, hydrate and repair my skin, leaving me with plump, refreshed healthy skin in the morning.

Enzyme exfoliation is absolutely my preferred choice for exfoliation. I'm super cautious about over-exfoliating, particularly because I do have broken capillaries and over-exfoliation or harsh physical exfoliation will really exacerbate this problem.
It's sometimes easy to forget that this is actually an exfoliating product as it's so incredibly soothing and hydrating.
With acid exfoliation it's the 'tingle' that lets you know that a product is going about it's intended business. But with the Spoiled Bee Fruit Enzyme Serum there is absolutely no physical 'tingling' or irritation that you might expect with an acid treatment. This serum is a brilliant example of nature working at her best - giving you all of the results you want but protecting your skin along the way.

Looking at all of the ingredients in this serum makes it sound more like a fruit smoothie than a skincare product. However, when you see what all of these fruity inclusions bring to the skincare table then you can see what a great choice this serum is for a natural gentle exfoliation. It's packed with natural AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) which exfoliate and soften the skin.

Plum Seed Oil: This is my personal favourite from the ingredients, not only because of it's crazily good scent but because It has high content of Polyunsaturated essential fatty acids such as Oleic acid and Linoleic acid. It's great for addressing all of the signs of aging skin in that it contains revitalising, hydrating and antioxidant properties.

Star Fruit Extract - : Rich in antioxidant and a great natural source of Vitamin C.

Passionflower Fruit Extract: Contains vitamins A and C and is full of essential fatty acids. Another great inclusion to address the usual signs of aging but this extract is also a great choice for acne prone and sensitive skin as it's a great non-comedogenic moisturiser and soothes irritated, itchy skin.

Kiwi Fruit Extract: Rich in both Vitamin C and E and packed with antioxidants. Contains the enzyme actinidin which helps to slough away dead skin cells.

Mangosteen

Mangosteen Fruit Extract: Mangosteen has been referred to as a  'Miracle fruit' due to its high antioxidant content. Mangosteen is full of polyphenols (or phytochemicals) known as xanthones. These antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds in mangosteen may protect skin cells from damage associated with sun exposure and aging.

Pineapple Fruit Extract: Pineapple contains the enzyme Bromelain, which is another fantastic natural gentle skin exfoliator. Pineapple is also one of the most potent natural forms of Vitamin C.

Pomegranate Extract: Rich in fatty acids and antioxidants including catechins and flavonoids and rich in Vitamin C. Pomegranate seed oil actively stimulates the cells in the outer layer of skin, reducing signs of skin damage, dark spots and acne. Plumps the skin and promotes collagen production.

Lychee Extract: An excellent source of Vitamin C. Oligonol is a low molecular weight polyphenol found abundantly in Lychee and can protect the skin from harmful UVA rays. It can also tackle all of the usual signs of aging and reduces dark spots.

Jujube Fruit Extract: The Jujube fruit is also known as the red date or Korean date. Jujube extract is used topically to treat skin irritations and inflammations, including psoriasis, eczema and acne.  It can also help prevent the appearance of wrinkles and scars, as well as keep the skin energized with oxygenated blood.

Guava Fruit Extract: Rich in Vitamins A, B, C and K. It can help reduce redness and soothes irritation. Can help treat acne-prone skin.

Phew! Such a cornucopia of super fruit skin saviours!

I'm happy to go out on a limb here and state that I don't think I've ever come across a product with such an amazing array of natural fruit oils. The Fruit Enzyme Serum has swiftly become one of my most beloved skin care products and is guaranteed a life-long place in my skincare arsenal.
