Anti Haul - Lipsticks

Perhaps a very anachronistic and simplistic view, but it's always been considered that putting on a bit of lippie is a woman's way of 'putting a face on' and taking on the world. Much like in the same way a good old cup of tea is the British answer to everything (I'd agree with this sentiment more!).
But for me, it's something I always forget to do - and when I do remember, it's always a bit of a shock to me to look in the mirror and see myself wearing it!

Looking at this lot, I can come up with a few plausible explanations - 

1) I'm very safe when it comes to my colour choices but that I clearly have moments of wanting to be a bit more bold.

2) I LOVE the idea of an empowering, bold red lipstick but don't quite have the confidence to carry it off quite as boldly.

And 3) That lipsticks are obviously something that I buy when I'm 'boredom shopping'.

 

This amount of lipsticks is still excessive, even if I wore them every day (which I don't!).

 I have been trying to incorporate more lipsticks into my weekly makeup bag, but I'm not one to re-touch my makeup during the day (perhaps apart from a little powdering), so if a lipstick doesn't wear off uniformly, I'm apt to not wear one at all when going out during the day time.

My preference is for the traditional creamy bullet lipsticks.

De-Clutters

Too shiny, too dark, too light and too pink!

I went through my stash and pulled out a few lipsticks that I didn't really care for anymore and managed to bring down the remaining total to 41

 

Goal: I'd like to challenge myself to a complete No-Buy for lipsticks in 2019. It's only April - but so far none have been added to my stash.
I have three chosen that I'm aiming to use up as part of the 20/20 Vision Project Pan but I can't see myself finishing up more than that. Lipsticks are definitely one of the makeup items that I reach for if I'm boredom shopping - I need to ultimately find a way to combat that type of mindless activity!
