Packaging:
Classic white squeezy tube packaging with flip top cap. It's a very useful and practical lid for hand creams so you don't need to worry about screwing a cap on with freshly creamed hands!.

Scent and Texture:
The first thing you notice about this is the very punchy, peppery lemon scent. To me, it's not like your usual fresh and tangy natural lemon scent or even that sweet lemon sherbert scent - in fact I had to double check the ingredients as I was sure that there was a ginger or cinnamon base that lingered, but neither of these essential oils are listed in the ingredients, so maybe it's the lemongrass which gives it such a kick. It's an amazing scent which is quite strong - I love a good potent scent, but others may find it slightly too much.
Texture-wise, this is a very rich cream - stays in a little dollop without losing shape until you rub it in, so it's nice and thick. Non-greasy.

Application:
I always apply hand cream to the backs of my hands first as this is where my skin is driest.  I use a little larger than a pea sized dollop (see above) and massage into the backs of my hands first, followed by my palms, fingers and wrists and then I'll finally massage any remaining cream into my cuticles and nails. There is an initial white caste which disappears quickly as you massage the cream in.

Thoughts:
I won this hand cream in a giveaway a few months ago. But as I was currently using another hand cream at that time, I opened it and began using it in January.
This is a perfect hand cream for winter. It's a bit richer than my usual hand creams but without being greasy or oily or leaving a residue. It's absolutely vital that any hand cream I use absorbs well, because as a book seller, constantly handling old and rare papers, I certainly don't need to leave any hand cream residue smears on my stock!
This hand cream absorbs really well but still feels like it's forming a protective barrier on my skin without actually leaving a physical barrier.
I think my favourite aspect of this hand cream is the scent though. As previously mentioned, it's quite a strong spicy, peppery lemon scent which is really quite unusual but very pleasing. The scent does linger, but it's not too overpowering.
When you wash your hands, you don't feel like you have to immediately re-apply as you might with some hand creams. You could probably get away with applying this just a couple of times a day as your hands do remain soft, nourished and protected after wearing this hand cream. But I find myself applying it about four times a day - just because the scent is so great and also because it does feel very luxurious and pampering to massage it in.
This is Odylique's latest hand cream and I noticed that it's currently out of stock on their website. This would suggest that the first tranche of customers loved it so much they've gone back for more! I will certainly consider buying this hand cream again, but I would recommend it mostly for winter use.
