Weekly Makeup Bag #40

Rubbish skin and rubbish nails this week!
I've got a couple of spots and just feel a bit red and badly textured on my face this week so although I've chosen he Erborian BB Cream for my base, I have a feeling that it's not going to quite cut it this week...

* Erborian BB Crème
* E.L.F Undereye Primer and Missha Under Eye Brightener (not pictured)
* Powder - TonyMoly Cats Wink Compact
* Highlighter - L'Oreal True Match Highlight
* Contour - Illamasqua Gel Sculpt Contour
* Mascara - Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara - After last week's slightly unfavourable 'first impressions' on this mascara, my feelings towards this have grown immensely! Touch wood, but it seems that the early 'clumping' fiasco seems to have rectified itself. I've been able to control the amount of product on the brush better and, although I wouldn't call them fluffy, my lashes haven't been half as clumpy as on day three! I can't see how anyone could successfully apply more than two coats though.
* Blusher - Makeup Revolution Blush Palette 'Golden Sugar 2'

I think if anything is in danger of being de-cluttered this week , it's this blush palette. Don't know what I seem to have against Makeup Revolution in the past few weeks but I'm finding that I've gotten rid of a lot of their products!
It's a great value palette - it's just that I'm not really loving the colours and I have so many other blushers that I really love and would like to spend more time with them!

* Eye Shadow Palette - Makeup Revolution Flawless 2

Given my current relationship status with Makeup Revolution you could be forgiven for thinking that this palette was also about to be dumped. But actually no. It's not my favourite or even in the top half of the Eye Shadow Palette charts, but it's okay enough to keep hold of. My main beef with these older MUR palettes is that they can blend a bit muddily and this is no exception. A lot of these shades are hugely similar to others I own, but that's probably because these are great everyday shades and the type I am mostly drawn to.
With over half a week left to spend creating eye looks from this palette I may be a bit premature with my decision to keep hold of this. But rest assured, if it's over, I'll do it face to face rather than by text!

Last Weeks De-Clutters

Although I'm still in the market for a nice red lipstick - it wasn't these from MUA! Far too pink for me, despite looking like a classic vampy red.
I think I'm going to need a trained eye to help me choose my perfect red rather than me deciding that the red shade I like best is actually going to suit me.
