September 2018 Empties

Still quite a good month for empties but this has been the first time in months that I've managed to fit all of the empties into one photo!

WR - Have already repurchased or will repurchase at a later date.
MR - Might repurchase at a later date.
WNR - Would not repurchase.

* Bielenda Derma Roller (MR)- I used this for about three months and although I couldn't feel that the needles were getting blunter, I just felt that it would be a good time to get a new dermaroller (12 weeks seems like a good shelf life for this). But then I didn't re-purchase immediately, and then and I didn't really miss not derma-rolling. So many people absolutely swear by derma-rolling but I just didn't see any noticeable results. The only thing that I was aware of was that I'd have to be extra cautious with what I put on my skin directly after derma-rolling to avoid irritation. The fact that I haven't missed this at all tells me that I don't need to rush out and buy another one.

* Decleor - Micellar Oil (WNR) - I didn't hate this but I didn't love it either. It did a perfunctory job as a first cleanser but I wasn't really keen using this on my eyes as it did make my eyes a bit swimmy and oily. I feel that there are many, many more cleansing oils that I'd choose and use before this one.

* Body Prescriptions - Vitamin C Foaming Cleanser (WNR) - This was a T.K Maxx buy. The Vitamin C inclusion drew me to this product. However, this very foamy cleanser was quite stripping and drying and I ended up using it up in the shower. I've never heard of or seen this brand anywhere else, but I think I'd avoid it if I did.

* Omorovicza - Rejuvenating Night Cream (WNR) - I usually love Omorovicza, but this night cream was everything that makes me not pick a designated cream for night time use. It was ultra rich and creamy (as you would expect in a night cream) and very hydrating and moisturising. So it's not a bad product - I just don't like night creams like this!

* Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Acid Daily Cleansing Pads (WNR) - The Naturally Radiant Glycolic Toner is actually my favourite of all Glycolic Toners that I've tried. But I'm just not a fan of this pre-soaked pads. I'd rather control the amount of product that I poured onto my own pad!

* May Coop - Morning Dew (WR) I absolutely would re-purchase this Acer Maple Water mist if I ever saw it anywhere again! This was another T.K Maxx buy from when they had a few May Coop products in (this was he only May Coop I found though). I loved this! The scent was amazing!.The spray mister was just right. This was a gorgeous daily mist spray and one that I was sad to see go.

* SK-II - Cellumination Cream EX (WR) - Another T.K Maxx find (they've had some great stuff in recently!). If I saw this again, I'd jump at re-purchasing it. A beautiful, lightweight day cream with added illumination.

* Temple Spa - In the Beginning Cleanser (WNR) - I loved the slightly granular texture of this balm cleanser but was unsure of the scent (slightly medicinal). But the main reason why I wouldn't look to repurchase this again was because you're supposed to avoid the eye area, and I like my balm cleansers to be able to take my eye make up off too.

* Caudalie - Vinoperfect Radiance Serum (WNR) - Another beauty box inclusion (that's about the only times I've used Caudalie products). And this one hasn't done anything further to convince me to like Caudalie products any better! I don't know, I just don't really rate Caudalie. YMMV, I suppose!

* SVR - Sebiaclear Soap-Free Cleanser (WNR) - This was a brand that I had wanted to try, but unfortunately, this soap-free cleanser sample didn't really sway me. It was a good basic cleanser but I didn't like the clinical smell and it was so bitter! Yes I know you're not supposed to eat your cleanser but if this got onto your lips you could still taste the bitterness after you'd washed it off!

* Clarins - Hydra-Essentiel Moisturising Eye Mask (WNR) - I really loved the idea of an eye sleeping mask but the product didn't live up to my expectations. This felt like I just had an excess of eye cream on overnight. It sunk in really well but I didn't notice that it particularly refreshed or hydrated my eye area after sleeping. I still love the idea of an eye sleeping mask - but not this one!

* Erno Laszlo - Firmarine Essence Lotion (MR) - I actually really liked this essence lotion. It was beautifully hydrating and sunk in really well. I would look to repurchase it if I ever saw it on offer.

* Skin and Tonic - Coco Mask (MR) - I'd been wanting to try something from this brand but unfortunately I think this sample pot was just too small to make enough of an impression. There wasn't really enough clay to make a substantial mask up and so it did actually feel a bit drying after removal. However, I do feel that I need to give it another chance and maybe add some oil to the mixture to get a good representation of how this performs.

* Emma Hardie - Brilliance Facial Oil (WR) - I loved this facial oil but I had to take out the plastic stopper as it made it impossible to get any product out. And then of course, the wider neck space without the stopper made too much product come out! This oil took a while to sink in but I loved using it as the last step in my night routine (although sometimes I would use a sleep mask over it which worked beautifully too). I would always wake up with beautifully hydrated and soft skin after wearing this at night.

* Sheet Masks - My Scheming and My Beauty Diary (WR) - Both of these brands are my trusted, go-to brands for sheet-masking. They have a fantastic range of masks that are cheap and there's always enough serum left in the packet to have a second mini mask the next day.

* Sulwhasoo Clarifying Mask (WNR) - This has got to be one of the worst products ever to try and get out of a sample sachet! Super sticky and quite thick, the Clarifying mask is a peel-off type mask but I needed to use two sachets for one face just so I could get enough product on to have a satisfying peel off! It smells great and peels off in a very satisfying way, but other than that I didn't really see any benefits on my skin.

* Grow Gorgeous Cleansing Conditioner (WNR) - This wins my 'least favourite' award from September! It claims to be an 11-in-1 product but it really would have done better just to pick a lane! Not enough oomph enough to be a shampoo or conditioner - I really don't get what this product was trying to do.

* Alteya Organics - Hand Cream with Rose Oil (WR) - This was one of the products from the rose-themed July Skin Organics Clean Beauty Box. When I first tried this I thought it was a little too rich and oily to be used in the day as it took a while to sink in. But actually, that fist impression was wrong - I used this all the time 2-3 times a day and it was a really beautiful hand cream.

* Crabtree & Evelyn - Somerset Meadow Hand Cream (MR) - One of the small sized hand creams that I kept in my handbag. I loved the scent and it was rich and moisturising without being too heavy. Would buy this again if it were on offer or part of a set.

* Floral Street - Neon Rose (WNR) - It was a tiny sample, so perhaps I never had much of a chance to get used to it, but first impressions and the following couple of wears I got out of this sample didn't really impress me.

* E.L.F - Pink Lemonade Shimmer (De-cluttered) - Although this shimmery pink isn't my first choice for a highlighting blusher, I didn't mind it so much. But it had started to separate really badly and no matter how much I shook it before use, a little dribble of oil would come out before any colour, making it unwearable.
