Project Use It Up - July Results
Not a brilliant month! Just 3 out of 6 products finished.
* Scinic Aqua All-In-One Ampoule
I only just scraped by finishing this up by the evening of 31st July! I've been using 2-3 skins of this ampoule every morning and night for almost every day in July. I really like this product for it's intense burst of hydration but it's such a huge pot of product (250ml) and only has 12 months shelf life once opened. This is definitely on my 'will consider repurchasing' list for the future but at the moment I have more hydrating products I'd like to use first.
* Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Essence
This was such a chore to get through! There wasn't too much product left but I found that when I included this in a routine, it would generally be to the detriment of another product. It always left my skin feeling a bit tacky so wasn't great for morning use and it had a tendency to cause any facial oils to pill, so didn't work great in the evening either. I know this is an iconic product for a lot of people but I'm just not feeling any love for it. Glad to see the back of it!
* Garnier Rosewater Cleansing Milk
This was the first item I managed to finish off. It's help to cement my preference for oils and balms as a first cleanse. This just didn't have the oomph required as a first cleanser although I didn't hate it either. Won't repurchase this, but may buy the toner from the same range again one day.
As for the others - I didn't concentrate on using the Decleor Micellar Oil every night as I have too many other first cleansers that I missed too much! So this one gets rolled over into next month's project, where I promise that I will try and use it exclusively till it's finished!
Oh dear, The Niod Mastic Must - I rarely picked this up so it wasn't too much of a problem to use this several times a week at first. But as I never really saw any great results from this mask, it became a real grind to keep using it. I ended up really resenting using it! I only have about 3 or 4 uses left in the tube, but towards the end of the month, I just couldn't bear to touch it!
And finally the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm - this is like the magic porridge pot of products! You only need the tiniest of dabs of this and so it felt like I hardly made any progress at all. I've also included this as one of my 20/20 Vision Project products (use up 40 makeup and skincare items by the end of 2019) so I may cheat and swap this product over next month to something more realistic.
If this project teaches me anything, then it's just how long a product can last!
