Weekly Makeup Bag #27

It's another reasonably sparse week for me - it's too hot to wear a full face of makeup, plus while my skin is looking good, I really feel like I don't need to at the moment.

I reluctantly put away my new Urban Decay Beached palette this week so I can continue onwards through my other palettes and singles - although, if it's all feeling a bit dull, I can't promise that I won't be reaching out for it!

 

Here's what I chose this week:

 

* Isle of Paradise - Self-Tanning Facial Drops

Really happy with this purchase! I thought that I may use it everyday but there does seem to be some residual colour left over the following day after use so I haven't felt like I've needed to.

 

* Erborian - CC Crème in 'Dore'

Going by the few times last week that I actually chose to wear CC Crème, I thought this tiny 7ml sample would be plenty for light coverage this week.

 

* E.L.F - Hydrating Under Eye Primer

Bought this in the E.L.F sale for under £2.00. Actually, on non-makeup days this has almost been brightening enough just to pep-up my under-eye area when used on it's own.

 

* Missha - Under Eye Brightener

Even if I haven't been wearing CC crème or foundation, I'm choosing to use the tiniest bit of this under eye brightener, just to even out the dark areas under my eyes.

* Manna Kadar - Glo Lotion
I thought I'd lost this! I haven't chosen any highlighter this week, so may use this if I want some extra glow.

 

* MUA - Stay Matte Loose Powder
This stays in from the previous week too. It's not my favourite, but it's just enough to take the shine off.

* Kiko - Metal Fusion Blush and Benefit Gold Rush Blush
Keeping both of these in from last week's bag too. Really loving both of these with my current complexion.

* L'Oreal - Lash Extatic Mascara
My current favourite mascara. I won this as a review prize last week but as I also have another new and unopened in my stash, I thought it was time to crack one open.

 



 * Colourpop - Super Shock Eye Shadows
I'm not entirely sure that these have even been included in a weekly makeup bag yet. How remiss of me!

 

Keep or Toss?

 

 

I've been here before with this palette!

This has hung around purely because I like some of these dusky/ rose nude colours. But honestly, the quality of these eye shadows is just not great! Most of them are chalky and have lots of fall-out and they are not the most pigmented either.

I don't know whether to just throw away the whole palette or maybe de-pot a couple of the more buttery shades and add them to magnetic palette of misfits!

So this palette, in it's current whole form, is safe for this week and then I'll make a final decision after seeing how it wears.
