June 2018 Empties
Another great month of progress with lots of full size products being used up.
However, this was also a month where I ran out of a lot of daily/essential items so I did buy quite a lot of replacement and new products (plus some others - just because!)
Firstly though - the items I de-cluttered this month:
* TonyMoly Apple Tox Peeling Cream - This was actually part of my June Use it Up project, but after using it a couple of times I realised that it had definitely expired! It smelled a bit odd but was also no longer working in the same way it used to.
* White Rabbit - After making a mid-year inventory for all my skincare products, I noticed that the expiration date for this was long past. Being a hand-made, small-batch product, this only had a shelf life of 6 months. I opened it over a year ago. So sadly, this went too.
* Nip + Fab Bee Sting Fix Cream Deluxe - Another expired product. Wasn't sorry to see this go though - it was too rich and just didn't feel like it was doing anything for my skin. With a shed load of other moisturisers needing to be used up, I can't waste any time on ineffective products!
* Absolute Care - Facial Treatment Cream - yet another expired moisturiser.
* Bodhi - Rosemary Chi Reviving Body Moisturiser - Whilst I loved the scent of this, it never performed well at all. It just wouldn't absorb into my skin, leaving a gloopy, white caste. I had this in my swimming bag and would use it after the shower, but it's inability to absorb into the skin left me having to rub the excess off with a towel before getting dressed. This kind of defeats the purpose of a body lotion!
* Pur - Fully Charged Mascara - Got this in a beauty box. It was terrible for transferring onto my eyelids. Again, with other, more favourable mascaras to use up, I don't have time to use up products that are messy.
* Laura Geller - Lash Boss Mascara - Another beauty box mini. Again, like the Pur - it was a messy thing, with lots of smudging and transference. Out it goes!

Skincare Empties
WR - Would Repurchase/Have Repurchased
MR - May Repurchase (in the future after using up other products)
WNR - Would Not Repurchase
* Liz Earle - Eyebright Soothing Lotion - This was my third bottle of this lotion. I started off not liking it but then it slowly became an everyday essential. I actually replaced this with a new product - an Organic Cornflower Water as it was cheaper for more product - however, I'm already not favouring the swap! WR
* Bravura London - Revitalising Ginseng Toner - I absolutely loved this! I used this as a gentle morning hit of glycolic acid. I would definitely be repurchasing this if it were not for the other glycolic acid toners that I need to use up. WR
* The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution - This was one of my June #UseItUp products that I made a concerted effort to finish up. I prefer a slightly more gentle Glycolic Acid toner that's at 5%, like the Bravura London above. WNR
* Skin Food Black Sugar Honey Mask- I bought this as it was one of those very highly-rated FOMO products! I never fell completely in love with it and it lay languishing in my drawers, unused for quite some time until I decided to include it in my June #UseItUp project. WNR
* TonyMoly - The Chok Chok Green Tea Watery Cream - If I've learned anything then it's that my skin just loves these watery cream moisturisers. This is the second TonyMoly moisturiser that I've purchased and I loved both of them. WR
* The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 - Another June #UseItUp product. Took me a while to plough through this as I found it slightly tacky and didn't like the way it sat on my skin. WNR
* Bielenda Dr Medica Capillaries Serum - I'm now on my second bottle of this wonder stuff! I use this every morning. It's the perfect clear, slightly viscous serum which absorbs beautifully, plays well with other layers and helps keep my skin looking clear - banishing redness. WR
* Ole Henriksen The Clean Truth Cleansing Cloths - I'm not usually a wipe user, but I got these in a set and would take them travelling. I was always surprised at how well they worked as a first cleanser but would probably not repurchase as nothing beats a balm or oil first cleanse. Good for travel though. MR
* Elemis - Herbal Lavender Repair Mask - As much as I love Elemis, I didn't really get the feels for this mask. It was nice enough. That's it. WNR
* Aurelia - Miracle Cleanser- It took me a while to appreciate the scent of this cleanser, but then I fell hard! Not quite in my top five of second cleansers, so I would repurchase if there was a good offer on and I had nothing to use up. MR
* Jurlique - Firming and Tightening Serum - I really enjoyed this beautifully scented, milky lotion type serum and this mini sample lasted me for ages. MR
* Bioderma - Sensibio Tolerance - Strangely, this tiny sample seemed to have hardly any product in - barely enough for one use. So I couldn't really make my mind up about it. WNR
* L'Oreal - The last of the little pots of mask from this multi-masking set. I don't know why I left this for last - it turned out to be my favourite. MR
* Bioderma - Hydrabio Serum - Despite being aimed at very dehydrated skin I found this gel to be really hydrating without being overly heavy. MR
* Clarins - Pure Melt Cleansing Gel - A tiny sample, but enough to let me know that I would like to try more of this! I loved the scent, the texture - it has everything that I love in a cleansing balm. MR
* A'Pieu - Start Up Pore Primer - I actually bought several of these samples of primers when I was looking for the perfect primer. This one isn't perfect but it's one of the best I've tried. MR
* The Hero Project - Hyasoft - I've loved most of The Hero Project products that I've tried, but i didn't really get the point of this one. It's meant to be a pre-moisturiser- moisturiser. It was an unnecessary set as far as I was concerned so won't be looking to repurchase a full size of this. WNR
* Rodial - Dragon's Blood Hyaluronic Night Cream - It may be that it was so long ago that I used this sample, or that it didn't make much of an impact. But I really can't remember what I felt about this! WNR
* Purito - Defence Barrier PH Cleanser - Very similar to the Cosrx Low PH Cleanser. Okay, but not okay enough to go on the wish list. WNR
* DHC - Facial Scrub - Not a fan of physical exfoliators so a small size sample like this is perhaps ideal for me - it would take me forever to use up a full size. WNR
* TonyMoly - Floria Brightening Peel Gel - This is my favourite type of exfoliation and this worked as well as any other enzyme peel. But I wouldn't repurchase as I am loyal to my Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel. WNR.
* Ziaja - Revitalising Face Cream with Argan Oil - I used this to 'use it up', not really expecting to like it, but I was nicely surprised. It wasn't as heavy as I thought, so I'm keeping it on my list of 'maybes'. MR
* Ziaja - Anno D'Oro Lifting Solution - This was a pretty nondescript wash off facial mask. I can't remember having strong thoughts about it either way. WNR
Hair/Body/Makeup
* Korres - Water Lily Blossom Shower Gel - Nice enough but not so nice that I'd repurchase. WNR
* The Body Shop - Frosted Plum Shower Gel - A family favourite! Although I only ever buy these when there's a sale on. WR
* Christophe Robin - Cleansing Volumizing Paste - I absolutely LOVE this stuff! It's totally not meant for my kind of hair (which is why I wouldn't pay the full price as it's really pricey) but I don't care - the smell, the texture - it's a real treat to use. I was using this mini size very carefully as I didn't want to it to end, but then another pot turned up in the Look Fantastic Beauty Box so I was happy to replace it. I reviewed it a while ago - HERE.
* No7 - Skin Illuminator - Again, another product that I'm happy enough to have minis of, but I wouldn't buy a full size. I used this in my home-made D.I.Y cushion foundation to give it a bit of glow. WR
* Inglot - Under Eye Concealer - This took me months to use up! I thought at the time that it was my favourite under eye concealer but now that I'm using the Missha Under eye brightener, I've realised that this was maybe a little too drying and would sometimes be hard to blend in really well. MR
* Roger & Gallet - Extrait de Cologne Neroli Facetie - I've liked all the Roger & Gallet samples of perfumes I've tried. One day I'll pick one and buy a full size! MR
