Makeup Revolution - New Trals vs Neutrals Palette
Makeup Revolution New Trals vs Neutrals Eye Shadow Palette
This was the palette I chose for my Weekly Make Up bag in the past week.
It's a confusing palette for me and I found it a slight challenge to utilise in the week. You do often realise when you buy a palette and get it home, how much you buy on impulse - the price, the setting, boredom, not finding what you were actually looking for, sense of FOMO - all of these things can sometimes make you wonder, "Why did I buy this again?"
This palette in store, looked very different under the bright artificial store lighting to what it looks like in my own bathroom under natural lighting. I'm not entirely sure why I picked a palette with such strong warm tones (as I know they don't suit me). I was also slightly surprised how much of a lilac/purple tint the neutral shades had - again, not a range of shades that I would usually pick.
Top Row: (L-R) - Bias, Neutral, Personal, Vogue, Trend, New-Tral, Tone and Custom.
Bottom Row: (L-R) - Cool, Style, Partial, Mode, Adapt, Buff, Suit, Strong
I made an effort to use every single one of the colours in the palette during the week. The hardest I found to use were the red and orange tones Vogue, New-Tral and Tone. My most used pans were Bias, Neutral, Adapt, Buff, Suit, Mode and Partial.
As with most Makeup Revolution palettes, I really appreciate the mix of matte and shimmer shades. The pigmentation was great in all pans and they were easy to layer and blend but I did find that the colours would collect in my eyelid crease towards the end of the day.

I did use Bias every day for under the brow bone and as a base over my eyelids, but the top row of shades was mostly pretty challenging for me!

Now these were much more usable for me - I loved the shimmery shades like Partial and Mode. You can't really tell from the swatch but 'Strong' is a black shade with a shimmery purple flip - this is a great shade but unfortunately, this was the one pan that seemed a bit chalkier than the others and not as pigmented.
Currently, Makeup Revolution have re-launched some of their past palettes (including this one called Newtrals Re-Loaded 2) at a lower price of just £4.00. So, this may not be one of my favourite palettes I own, but you certainly can't go wrong for the price.
