November 2017 ~ Empties

Phew-ee! But it's taking some time to work through some of my full sized products. I was hoping that I'd have at least another full size cleanser empty, but still didn't manage it in November.

My swim and gym shower bag seems to be the one place where I'm tearing through the products and this is a great place to get through all of those body wash travel sizes I have in my stash.

 

 

* Baptiste Dry Shampoo - already repurchased. A staple in my stash for hair emergencies.

* Cosrx - Natural BHA Skin-Returning A-Sol - This was one of the first Korean skincare products I bought and to be honest, I wasn't entirely sure what I was buying! Halfway through this product I learned that BHA was better for blemished skin, and that's something I don't really have a problem with. However, I did use this as a toner if my skin had any break outs and slowly and steadily worked my way through it. I won't be repurchasing though as it's not something I need.

* Botanics - Nourishing Body Oil - I bought this from the clearance section. Used post-swimming.

* Nip + Fab - Bee Sting Fix Toning Pads -  These weren't actually used up but they started to smell like over-boiled cabbage so I think they had gone off. Wouldn't repurchase though.

* Ren - Morroccan Rose Otto Body Wash (Ttavel size) - kept in gym bag for post gym/swim shower.

* White Rabbit - Avocado and Olive Serum - I didn't really like the smell of this serum. However, it was more like a facial oil than a serum so I used it as a facial protector pre-swimming.

* The Body Shop - Oils of Life. This tiny 5ml sample lasted a surprisingly long time. I really liked this facial oil and would possibly repurchase in the future, but at £30 it is on the pricier side compared with other facial oils.

* Sulwhasso - First Care Activating Serum. Will always repurchase this (in sample size anyway).

* Philip Kingsley - Swimcap. Have already got a back-up of this. A staple in my swimming bag.

I also got rid of a couple of bits of makeup that I don't really reach for anymore - the L'Oreal Infallible Sculpt palette and Bourjois mascara.

 

 



In amongst these sheet mask empties are a hair mask and a hand mask. Although I like the idea of these types of masks, neither really did anything for me. Favourite sheet masks used this month were the A By Bom Ultra cool leaf mask (from an Ichiko Bento box) and the Mediheal Cacao Ade (from Mask 'n' Chill November selection).

 

 

Samples and minis -

Have/Would repurchase:

* Jane Scrivner - Have already bought the full size of the Skin Elixir and will hopefully buy the Rose Gold Oil in the future but probably wouldn't repurchase the Masquerade.

* Laneige -Water Sleeping Mask -  This is the best sleeping mask EVER! Have a few sample sizes of these left but can't wait to own the full size of this gorgeous product.

* Glam Glow - Thirsty Mud Mask - I really, really loved this mask and would love to repurchase in the future. However, the price holds me back.

 

Would not repurchase:

* Sulwhasso -Clarifying Mask - One of the only things I bought in the month in sample form. I was a bit disappointed with this mask. The sample size was quite scant to cover my face and made peeling the mask off quite a chore. Results weren't impressive enough to justify the time it took too peel and scrape off!

* Bliss - Multi 'face'-eted - I can't remember this at all, so it obviously didn't grab my attention after use!

* Urban Veda -Daily Radiance Facial Wash -  Lovely smell but I found this cleanser quite drying.

* Philosophy - Amazing Grace perfume vial - Nice enough but nothing special.

* Pure Smile - Foaming cleanser - already have several more of these to get through. Have decided that I am not so much of a fan of the novelty of bubble masks or cleansers after all!

* Benton -Fermentation Essence - I'm interested in fermented products but sadly this small sample didn't really give me a good feel of the product.

* Kiehls - Midnight Recovery Concentrate - A really beautiful scent but I've preferred other facial oils that I've tried more than this one.
