Feel Unique - Pick n Mix Sample Service
I feel like a bit of a beauty hall stalker recently! I've been going from one beauty house to another in search of the perfect high-end foundation. But I do always feel a bit silly asking for a colour match and a sample and then not actually buying anything. But if I'm committing to spending £30 + on a foundation, then it's something I've learned that you don't want to rush into. What may look perfect in situ with the bright lights and rows of lovely cosmetics surrounding you perhaps doesn't end up wearing well a couple of hours later - either sliding off your face in a greasy mess or sticking to your dry patches, or occasionally, a completely poor colour match.
I've often bought something I've later regretted due to a misplaced sense of duty to the makeup artist - you took the time to show me the product, I feel obliged to buy. I'm not a naturally hard-nosed person and I often feel rude walking away without buying anything!
This is one reason why I love the Feel Unique Pick n Mix Sample Service.

For just the price of P+P £3.95) you can choose up to five samples from a selection of hundreds of different skincare, make up, hair and body care samples. The original lay-out of £3.95 is redeemable against any future purchase with Feel Unique.
This service has been great for me when I've been trying to find that elusive miracle eye cream (still haven't found it!). The sample sizes can range to a couple-of-use sachet sizes to 1 to 5 ml tubes (which for eye cream is ample to get a feel if a product works for you).
I also chose a couple of foundation samples (which were pretty generous - they usually only come in sachets) - although, choosing a good shade match can be a bit hit or miss online.
This was an incredibly generous 29.5 ml travel size of the Burt's Bees cleansing oil (but I don't think this will be available for too long in their sample vault!). I'm currently using the Burt's Bees Clary Sage creamy cleanser, so I'm interested to see how they work together as a double-cleanse duo.
And here's this month's eye cream hopeful - from Healgel (3ml). Not a brand I've heard of before but I'm looking forward to trying it. The Matis eye contour cream that I chose last time as a sample did absolutely nothing!
I chose two foundation samples. The Nars velvet matte skin tint in the shade 'Finland' (2ml). Perhaps a little too light for me. Loved this velvety texture and it had pretty good coverage, but unfortunately, it did highlight any dry patches on my face.
Also the LancĂ´me Teint Idole Ultra 24h Foundation in the shade 'Beige Jasmine' (5ml). Have yet to try this.
And finally, a sachet of the GlamGlow Thirstymud Hydrating treatment (3g). GlamGlow is a much raved about brand but I've yet to try anything of theirs, so this is a great opportunity to do so.
