Thoughts
Four words that make me very happy - Multi-Tasker Beauty Balm!
It's not a surprise at all that Pure Savvy have created such a product for their range. After all the whole Pure Savvy concept is based on a no-nonsense and effective approach to skincare. And the Multi-Tasker Beauty Balm fits that criteria perfectly. It's a one-pot product which can be utilised in so many different ways for pretty much every part of your body, head to toe!
I never want to become complacent when using a product. And I feel that it would be complacent of me to use this for the four areas where I would usually employ a beauty balm - lips, cuticles, elbows and knees (or other rough and dry areas).
But this balm inspired me on its very first use. On the same day I received this, I had bought a new eye shadow and it was such a pretty eye shadow that I was musing that it would actually make a gorgeous lip colour too. But being in powder form, wearing it on my lips alone would be patchy, too dry and short-wearing. So after picking up the Multi-Tasker balm and oohing and aahing at its gorgeous silky consistency. I immediately popped some on my lips as a hydrating balm. And then I decided to see what would happen if I added some of my new eye shadow over the top of the balm, figuring it would at least create some adherence to my lips.
And yes, it worked! I felt like some kind of intrepid explorer in that moment as the combination of the balm and the eye shadow on my lips made a pretty good job of creating a creamy lipstick! I have since learned that I am far from being this amazingly ground-breaking pioneer, but hey, it was new to me!
For me, a good multi-purpose balm is something akin to a comfort blanket. I just love the texture of a balm; I love the feeling of instant soothing and comfort and moreover, I love the addition of an uplifting scent. Multi-Tasker is scented with Frankincense and Neroli, which just happens to be one of my favourite scent combinations.
The soothing and calming powers of this balm have been proven when I tried this out as a remedy for itchy skin (yet another delightful peri-menopausal symptom).
The itchiness on my arms can drive me crazy and I'm often left with red welts where I've been scratching. I found that if I use the Multi-Tasker balm on my arms once in the morning and again before bed, this really reduces the itchiness (which is caused by drier skin) and also soothes my skin and leaves it looking and feeling a lot calmer.
The only usage that I've not quite gotten the best out of is using this as a morning moisturiser. It's just that little bit too much for my oily-prone skin. But as a night moisturiser, it's actually perfect for nourishing and hydrating my skin overnight. Better still, when applied to slightly damp skin (a quick spritz of facial mist) it's much quicker to apply and absorb.
Honestly, I've been able to utilise this gorgeous balm in so many ways in my skin, body and hair care routines. It truly is an all-rounder. And I have a feeling that I still haven't discovered all of the ways that I can benefit from it just yet. It all it takes is some Multi-Tasker balm and a little bit of imagination!
