Vitus Vinifera (Grapeseed Oil), Rubus Chamaemorus Seed Oil (Cloudberry) Oil, Camellia Japonica Seed Oil (Tsubaki) Oil, Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil (Marula) Oil, Citrullus lanatus (Watermelon) Seed Oil, Spinacia oleracea (Spinach) Oil, Citrus (Helichrysum) Angustifolium OilGlycerin & Aspalathus Linearis (Rooibos) Extract, Artocarpus Heterophyllus (Jackfruit) Seed Extract, Pelargonium Graveolens (Rose Essential Oil)

Scent and Texture
The Glow-ry serum needs to be shaken well before use. Unlike any other oil-based serum I have tried, this serum has a gorgeous velvety-oil texture and looks like liquid gold! It has the expected slip of an oil but an unexpected silky soft 'cloud-like' consistency.
This is one of the most enjoyable textures that I've tried in a serum product for a long time.
The serum has a delicious and delicate rose scent.

Application
For use in an evening skincare routine.
Shake the bottle well and use three to four drops of Glow-Ry direct to dampened skin and massage in. Alternatively, mix drops in with your moisturiser.

Thoughts
I was lucky enough to win a bottle of Glow-ry in a giveaway and had it not been for that, I'm not sure I would ever have come across The Butterbar Skincare as they are only available online from the USA.
So I had absolutely no pre-conceptions or expectations about this product before trying it. Which is actually a really good thing as there's none of the pre-planted suggestions that you inadvertently form from hearing about a well-hyped product or a product that is splashed all across social media.

Two things immediately caught my eye after receiving this product - it's name 'Glow-ry' for one. I think if there's one key word that piques my interest the most it's 'Glow'!
And secondly, that this is an antioxidant serum. This is a word that features heavily in the skincare lexicon, but to be honest, not something I felt really well-versed in. But recently I have been finding out more and realising that at my age, I need antioxidants in my routine.

Antioxidants and Free Radicals

I'll be honest, I didn't completely understand what free radicals are and why they aren't great for the skin! But in a very basic nutshell - free radicals are particles that are known to damage healthy cells. They are unstable molecules which seek out electrons from stable molecules in order to stabilise themselves. But that obviously leads to making the molecules they took from unstable! As far as your skin is concerned, this de-stabilisation can decrease the activity of the immune system and exacerbate the aging process.

Free radicals are produced naturally in the body, but they can also be triggered by the sun’s UV rays, environmental aggressors, pollution, cigarette smoke, and toxins.

Antioxidants fight free radicals because they can give up their own electrons without becoming unstable - and that can stop damage caused by free radicals.

One of the main antioxidants in the ingredients is Rooibos Tea It boasts a high level of flavonoids and has several antioxidants not found in other types of tea. Zinc and alpha‐hydroxy acid levels in rooibos promote healthy skin.

I think Glow-ry is the first product that I've had that includes Jackfruit Extract. It's an excellent source of Vitamin A and Vitamin C which are both potent antioxidant properties which promote healthy, smooth skin and can help reverse the signs of aging.

Tsubaki Oil (aka Camellia Oil) is rich in oleic acid and vitamins A, B, D and E as well as nourishing Omega 3, 6 and 9. It contains more naturally-occurring antioxidants than almost any other botanically derived oil.

I am absolutely CRAZY for this beautiful antioxidant serum!
It's beautiful velvety texture and gorgeous rose scent make it an absolute joy to use. But more than that, the proof is in the pudding as my skin is absolutely radiant at the moment. I'm waking up with clear, fresh and glowing skin and my skin tone, which can often be slightly red in patches, is more even-toned than it's been in a long time.
It's given me the confidence to go without foundation more frequently as, to be honest, my natural bare skin looks better au naturel than when I try and cover it up!

It is a small bottle of product at just 10ml, and on the slightly pricey side for my budget. But luckily, you do only need a small amount to cover your entire face and neck and so I'm hoping that I still have many more uses of this miracle serum before the bottle is empty!
