Weekly Makeup Bag #43

It's Halloween week!
This has absolutely no bearing on my makeup choices - just thought I'd mention it!
Makeup choice-wise this week, it feels like a bit of a 'holding' week. Lots of items I want to use up plus it always feels slightly incoherent when I choose to incorporate my single eye shadows into a weekly makeup bag. But I'm actually looking forward to attempting one-palette-one-month for November and it starts towards the end of this week - so before Thursday, I'll be using the singles and duos in my stash.



* Foundation (Not pictured) - Using up some samples of Estee Lauder Double Wear. When I get through some more of my opened foundations in my stash, I'm pretty sure this is the next foundation I'll buy.
* E.L.F Under Eye Primer
* Under Eye Concealer - Maybelline Age Rewind. I de-cluttered the Ellis Faas concealer from last week as it was far too orange.
* Powder - MUA Stay Matte Loose Powder
* Highlighter - Wet n Wild Megaglo Highlighting Bar - This was such an impulse buy when I was in Seville! It's such a great-looking highlighter in the pan. Luckily it's not as blue/silver/grey as it appears in the pan but a cold gold colour. However, it's pretty chalky so as much as I love the mermaid tail design - it's not one of my favourites to wear.
* Contour - Illamasqua Gel Sculpt Contour.
* Blusher - Essence - Great blusher, lovely shade and even better price - this cost just £1 and it's still one of my favourite blushers.
* Mascara - Benefit Roller Lash - Still trying to finish this off as part of my 20/20 Vision project. I'm nearly there - maybe just this week and it's probably empty.


* Eye Shadows - Singles and Duos - including Colourpop, Kiko, Model's Own, Bellapierre and By Terry.

 
Let's just another moment to appreciate the beauty of the Kiko Water Shadows.

  For the past few weeks I haven't been washing my face in the morning! I'm a great fan of the double-cleanse method, but then I read somewhere about not needing to double-cleanse in the morning if you double-cleanse at night. It was advised that you start your morning routine with the toner step, skipping out oil cleansers and foaming washes (or whatever double-cleansing products you use) altogether. Now it's not like I'd jump off a cliff if the internet told me to, but this made a bit of sense to me - why add more potentially drying/stripping/exfoliating products when there was no make-up to remove?   And this has worked out brilliantly well for me personally.   Flower Beauty ~ Light Illusion Foundation £12.99 at Superdrug BUY HERE   I'd never heard of Flower Beauty before, let alone that it was a cruelty-free makeup range by Drew Barrymore. And I'll be honest, I bought it because I liked the look and sound of it! It took a while to get my hands on some too. Superdrug announced that they would be stocking the brand, although it must be available only in the bigger stores as it's not yet reached Norwich and I had to buy this online - completely without testing it first or even being sure about a colour match.   The shade I opted for, 'Nude', was unavailable for ages online but as soon as I got the notification email that it was back in stock, I ordered right away.   I'm not generally keen on buying foundations online without having first at least gotten a colour match - usually, this spells disaster and a product that I end up discarding quite quickly. TonyMoly  ~The Fresh Phytoncide Pore Gel Cream   I'm coming to the end of this pot of pore gel cream which I have been using everyday, both morning and evening since I opened it nearly two months ago. But typically, there seems to be very little information about this online and it doesn't seem to be readily stocked and easy to buy!   I picked this up from T.K Maxx, which could explain why it doesn't seem like a popular product online (and I mean popular in readily available) as it was possibly an end of line product, hence the reason why it ended up in T.K Maxx.   The product   The Fresh Phytoncide pore cream gel is a lightweight gel cream in the same vein as the water/aqua gels. It contains 100% pure Hinoki Cypress Water instead of distilled water. The cream is suited for oily/combination skin and acne troubled skin and enlarged pores.   Ingredients The writing on the pot is all in Korean but I found a list of ingredients on the CosDNA site.
