This Week's Skincare and Make Up Deals
Currently, both Superdrug and Boots have 3 for 2 offers on make up (although Boots aren't including all ranges and I think Superdrug are - or it appears so).
There are two major branches of Boots and Superdrug in my nearest city (Norwich) and both vary from shop to shop. So I do have a lot to choose from, but often the make up sections in both stores can be a bit chaotic (Superdrug is worse for this!) with samples missing or wrecked and often the item I'm specifically looking for not in stock.
So I had a bit of a browse in the stores and then decided to make an online order with Superdrug (as they had other deals too) to ensure that I could make the most of the current deals.
Garnier Ultimate Blends Shampoo/Conditioner - These were two for £5.00.
I always like to pick up shampoo when it's on offer, and luckily, it's quite often on offer, as I think if they weren't, these two would usually cost about £7.98.
Superdrug currently have an offer where if you buy three Garnier items, you get this free drinking cup. So I picked up this Garnier Skin Active Pure Charcoal sheet mask (which was already on offer for £1.99) and got the cup. On hindsight, I didn't really need the cup (this just shows how gullible I am for a freebie!). The cup will probably end up at the back of the cupboard before being chucked in a few months!
Naturally Radiant range - currently are all £2.95 each.
The Glycolic Toner was very similar to my favourite Pixi Glow Tonic (but much cheaper) and now I'm thinking I should maybe stock up on that while it's only £2.95!
So I thought I'd pick up these Glycolic Toning pads and an Overnight Glycolic Peel.
Make Up
It can be pretty overwhelming choosing make up during these 3 for 2 offers, unless you have a definite wish-list and utilise the offer well (for example, choosing three items of the same value so it's more of a deal).
I didn't really need any new make up. In fact, it's hugely debatable that I should even be looking at yet more make up. However, need is very far removed from want and so these are the three things I fancied.
The Rimmel Lipstick in 'Heather Shimmer' was a shade that I had swatched previously, walked away from, but then kept thinking about - that's the only "logic" I've got for you to justify that choice!
The Makeup Revolution Duo Brow Definer in 'Medium Brown' was bought in hope that it would quieten my brow product questioning that I seem to have been having for the past month. I've been picking up a few really cheap (like under £3) brow products from Primark, Essence and Make Up Academy to see what kind of product I'm going to stick with on my brows (brow gel/mascara/pomade/pencil). All the really cheap ones have been no good or the wrong shade. But this seems like it might just quell my curiosity (for the time being!).
Rimmel 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish in 'Black Cherries' - I absolutely didn't need another nail varnish but I really wanted a very dark-almost black berry colour. However, buying online has thwarted me yet again - this is more of a dark purple than dark berry red. So I kind of regret this one :/
